On Sunday afternoon the Russian helicopters intercepted some 4 wheel powered cars belonging to the “Dā‘iš” terrorist organization, which had attacked “Mubīt” bus of the Syrian Army on the Palmyra—Dayr az-Zūr desert highway close to the region of aš-Šawlā in the southern region of Dayr az-Zūr.

Major General Nizār al-Huḍr, director of the security and military council in Dayr az-Zūr province and commander of the 17th battalion in the Syrian Army in a statement to the reporter of “Sputnik” that: “after a terrorist attack happened, the two attacking cars were intercepted as they were escaping towards the depth of the desert (at-Tanaf), where the illegal American base is. One of them was destroyed and the other one got damaged, which led to the death and injury of a number of terrorists”.
On its own term, a source on the ground confirmed to “Sputnik” that a group belonging to “Dā‘iš” ran two 4 wheels powered cars equipped with heavy machine guns and attacked a military bus carrying soldiers of the Syrian Army. That led to the immediate intervention by Russian helicopters, which targeted the two attacking cars, which tried to escape towards the Syrian-Iraqi border at Dayr az-Zūr”.
The source confirmed that one of the cards was destroyed totally and those insides were killed. In addition to that, the other was disabled, when Russian surveillance planes intercepted one of the positions thought to be a headquarters used the “Dā‘iš” organization in the middle of the desert. This caused rapid action by conducting concentrated airstrikes resulting in the total destruction of the position and the death of all those inside.
About the results of the attack against the bus, the source said that: “3 soldiers passed away, while 12 others got wounded”.
Syrian Army Commander Major General Nizār al-Huḍr pointed out in a previous statement to “Sputnik” that there is confirmed information that the American occupying army transported terrorists of the “Dā‘iš” organization detained in the prisons of the “Qasad” organization in al-Ḥasaka province to the desert areas of Dayr az-Zūr and Palmyra with the aim to cause chaos and reinstate the organization to hit the allied Russian forces and the positions of the Syrian Arab Army.
He pointed out: “The western and southwestern area of Dayr az-Zūr province, the southeastern side of ar-Raqqa province in Eastern Syria and the desert regions of Ḥimṣ and Ḥamā provinces are all open to the desert region of at-Tanaf at the (Syrian-Jordanian) border, where the illegal base of the American army is present. There the infiltrators of the “Dā‘iš” terrorist organization are very active.

لاحقت المروحيات الروسية، بعد ظهر الأحد، سيارات دفع رباعي تابعة لتنظيم “داعش” الإرهابي شنت هجوما على حافلة “مبيت” للجيش السوري في الطريق الصحراوي (تدمر دير الزور)، بالقرب من منطقة الشولا بريف دير الزور الجنوبي الشرقي
وقال اللواء نزار الخضر، رئيس اللجنة الأمنية والعسكرية في محافظة دير الزور و(قائد الفرقة 17) في الجيش السوري، في تصريح لمراسل “سبوتنيك”، إنه “بعد حدوث الهجوم الإرهابي، تمت ملاحقة السيارتين المهاجمتين لدى فرارهما باتجاه عمق صحراء (التنف) حيث تتموضع القاعدة الأمريكية اللاشرعية، وتم تدمير إحداها وإصابة الأخرى ما أدى لمقتل وإصابة عدد من الإرهابيين
من جهته، أكد مصدر ميداني لـ”سبوتنيك” أن “مجموعة تابعة لتنظيم “داعش” تستقل سيارتي دفع رباع مركب عليها رشاشات، هاجمت حافلة عسكرية على متنها جنود من الجيش السوري، ما استدعى تدخلاً من قبل المروحيات الروسية على وجه السرعة، واستهداف السيارتين المهاجمتين اللتين كانتا تحاولان الهرب باتجاه الحدود السورية العراقية بريف دير الزور
وأكد المصدر انه تم تدمير أحد السيارتين بشكل كامل ومقتل من بداخلهم، بالإضافة إلى إعطاب الأخرى، بوقت رصدت طائرات الاستطلاع الروسية أحد المواقع التي يعتقد أنها غرفة عمليات يستخدمها تنظيم “داعش” في عمق الصحراء، الأمر الذي استدعى تعاملا سريعا عبر غارات جوية مركزة أسفرت عن تدمير المقر بشكل كامل ومقتل من بداخله
وعن نتائج الهجوم على الحافلة قال المصدر إن “ثلاثة عسكريين ارتقوا وأصيب 12 آخرين بجروح
وكان القائد العسكري السوري اللواء نزار الخضر، أشار في تصريح سابق لـ”سبوتنيك” إلى أن هناك معلومات مؤكدة عن قيام جيش الاحتلال الأمريكي بنقل الإرهابيين من تنظيم “داعش” المحتجزين في سجون تنظيم “قسد” في محافظة الحسكة، ونقلهم إلى باديتي دير الزور وتدمر، بهدف خلق الفوضى وإعادة إحياء التنظيم لضرب القوات الروسية الصديقة ومواقع الجيش العرب السوري
يشار إلى أن “المنطقة الغربية والغربية الجنوبية من محافظة دير الزور والجهة الشرقية الجنوبية من محافظة الرقة شرقي سوريا وباديتي حمص وحماة، مفتوحة على صحراء وبادية منطقة التنف على الحدود (السورية – الأردنية) التي تتموضع فيها قاعدة غير شرعية للجيش الأمريكي، حيث تنشط فيها فلول تنظيم “داعش” الإرهابي بشكل كبير
