Raġad Ṣaddām Ḥussayn revealed that the Gulf states were funding the war, which the Ba‘at regime launched against Iran.

Raġad bint Ṣaddām [the daughter of Ṣaddām Ḥussayn] in a television interview with the Saudi “al-Arabiyya” channel confirmed that the Persian Gulf states were the ones, which funded the war and were supporting Iraq all along the 8 years.
Raġad added that Iraq ended the war economically exhausted.
She pointed out that after the Baghdad Summit, which was held in 1990 his father took the decision to raid the state of Kuwait.
On the other hand, the people of the holy Karbalā’ province in Iraq burst out in protests refuting the return of the Ba‘at regime to Iraq and refusing what was aired on the Saudi “al-Arabiyya” channel in a special interview with Raġad, the daughter of the former Iraqi dictator Ṣaddām.
In the meanwhile, an Iraqi parliamentary commission demanded the foreign ministry of the country to call in the Saudi and the Jordanian ambassadors giving them a memorandum protesting about the television interview with “Raġad”, daughter of a tyrant “Ṣaddām”.

كشفت رغد صدام حسين عن تمويل الدول الخليجية للحرب التي شنها نظام البعث البائد ضد ايران
وأكدت رغد ابنة صدام ، في مقابلة مع قناة “العربية” السعودية أن دول الخليج الفارسي هي كانت الممول لهذه الحرب، والداعم للعراق طوال 8 سنوات
وأضافت رغد، أن العراق خرج من هذه الحرب وهو منهك اقتصادياً
وأشارت إلى أنه بعد مؤتمر بغداد الذي عقد في عام 1990 اتخذ والدها قرار غزو دولة الكويت
ومن جهة اخرى، خرج اهالي محافظة كربلاء المقدسة في العراق في تظاهرة رافضة لعودة النظام البعثي البائد الى العراق، واستنكارا لما عرضته قناة “العربية” السعودية في لقاء خاص مع رغد ابنة الديكتاتور العراقي السابق صدام
هذا وطالبت لجنة برلمانية عراقية، وزارة خارجية البلاد باستدعاء سفيري السعودية والأردن، وتسليمهما مذكرتي احتجاج على خلفية لقاء تلفزيوني مع “رغد” ابنة الطاغية “صدام
