Qatari Foreign Minister Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī calls his Iranian counterpart Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān on the phone and expresses Qatar’s observations about Tehran and Washington returning to the nuclear agreement.
Qatari Foreign Minister Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī on Thursday expresses the observations of the State of Qatar about Tehran and Washington returning to the nuclear agreement.
He said that “in Qatar’s view Iran and America reaching an agreement will contribute to the revival of the nuclear agreement and to reaching a just agreement for all, while taking the fears of all into consideration”. Thus also expressing that it is surely “along the security interest and the stability of the region”.
This all happened in a phone conversation held between the Qatari Foreign Minister and his Iranian colleague Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān, when the two sides looked over the bilateral ties and the developments of the negotiations to revive the nuclear agreement, but also a number of other mutually interesting matters.
Last month Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī held phone conversations with Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān about the recent developments of the nuclear negotiations and the regional events.
The Qatari Foreign Minister in May said that “the present global situation requires a huge effort by the international commitment and more participation in diplomacy”. Thus pointing out that “Qatar balanced investment strategy and look forward to working together well with everyone”.
He added that “pumping additional quantities of Iranian oil to the markets will contribute to stability in the crude oil prices and decrease inflation”.

أعرب وزير الخارجية القطري، محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني، أمس الخميس، عن تطلّع دولة قطر إلى عودة طهران وواشنطن إلى الاتفاق النووي
وقال إنّ “قطر تتطلع إلى توصل إيران وأميركا إلى توافق يساهم في إحياء الاتفاق النووي، والوصول إلى اتفاق عادل للجميع، مع أخذ مخاوف جميع الأطراف” بالاعتبار، مؤكداً أنّ ذلك “يصب في مصلحة أمن المنطقة واستقرارها
جاء ذلك في اتصال هاتفي أجراه وزير الخارجية القطري بنظيره الإيراني حسين أمير عبد اللهيان، حيث استعرض الطرفان العلاقات الثنائية، ومستجدّات مفاوضات العودة إلى الاتفاق النووي، وعدداً من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وفي الشهر الفائت، أجرى محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني محادثة هاتفية مع أمير عبد اللهيان، حول آخر تطورات المفاوضات النووية والتطورات الإقليمية.
وكان وزير الخارجية القطري قال في أيار/مايو، إنّ “الوضع العالمي الحالي يتطلب قدراً كبيراً من التماسك الدولي، ومزيداً من المشاركة الدبلوماسية”، مشيراً إلى أن “قطر تريد استراتيجية استثمار متوازنة، وتتطلّع إلى عمل جيد مع الجميع”.
وأضاف أنّ “ضخ كميات إضافية من النفط الإيراني في الأسواق سيساعد على استقرار أسعار النفط الخام وخفض التضخم”.
