After leaving the occupied territories the American State Secretary heads to Sudan on board of the first officially direct flight from Tel Aviv to Khartoum.
American State Secretary Mike Pompeo headed today, on Tuesday to Sudan on Godard of the first official direct flight from Tel Aviv to Khartoum.
On his account on “Twitter” Pompeo posted a tweet saying in it: “Happy to announce that we are on the first official nonstop flight from “Israel” to Sudan.”
An official of the Sudanese government had said that American State Secretary Mike Pompeo will visit his country in the following days.
This comes when the acting Sudanese Foreign Minister ‘Umar Qamar ad-Dīn confirmed that his country’s government “hasn’t discussed at any time the position on Israel”, pointing out that he hasn’t received any instructions from the Prime Minister about this matter”.
The “Israel HaYoum” newspaper mentioned that Pompeo plans a regional conference in one of the Gulf states during the upcoming weeks, in which Bahrain, the Sultane of Oman, Morocco, Sudan and Chad will participate aside from “Israel”.
The “Maariv” Israeli newspaper reported from Israeli sources their words that the next political aim of “Israel” is to normalize its relations with Sudan.
This comes when American State Secretary Mike Pompeo has met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after he arrived in Tel Aviv yesterday in a trip including Sudan, Bahrain and the Emirates.
Netanyahu said that “Pompeo reassured us in the matter that the U.S. keeps the Israeli military superiority”.
The statement of the Foreign Ministry pointed out a meeting taken place by Pompe in Sudan with the Prime Minister and the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council to express his support for improving the Sudanese-Israeli relations.
In Manama Pompeo shall meet with the Bahraini Crown Prince Salmān ibn Ḥamad Āl Halīfa before he closes his trip in Abū Zabī meeting with his Emirati colleague ‘Abd Allah ibn Zāyid to study the normalization agreement with “Israel”.
The Israeli media mentioned yesterday that “the course of the planned journey of American State Secretary Mike Pompeo, which started today (Monday) in Israel has changed. In a historical measure Pompeo will fly from “Israel” directly to Sudan in an attempt to press the negotiations ahead between “Israel” and various countries. وكان مسؤول بالحكومة السودانية، قال إن وزير الخارجية الأميركي، مايك بومبيو، سيزور بلاده خلال الأيام المقبلة
يأتي ذلك فيما أكد وزير الخارجية السوداني المكلف، عمر قمر الدين، أن حكومة بلاده “لم تناقش في أي لحظة الموقف من إسرائيل”، لافتاً إلى أنه لم يتلق من رئاسة الوزراء أي توجيه يتعلق بفحوى هذا الأمر

هذا والتقى وزير الخارجية الأميركي مايك بومبيو رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو عقب وصوله إلى تل أبيب أمس في جولة تشمل السودان والبحرين والإمارات
وقال نتنياهو إن “بومبيو طمأنني بشأن حفاظ الولايات المتحدة على التفوق العسكري لـ”إسرائيل
وأشار بيان الخارجية إلى لقاء مرتقب لبومبيو في السودان مع رئيس الوزراء ورئيس المجلس السيادي الانتقالي للإعراب عن دعمه تعميق العلاقات السودانية الإسرائيلية
