Badr al-Būsa‘īdī points out the understanding between Iran and the United States about the uranium enrichment and the total inspection mechanism by the International Atomic Energy Agency, while Trumps seems unsatisfied with the path of the negotiations.

Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Būsa‘īdī says that “Iran agreed to halt the uranium enrichment, meaning that it will not posses enough quantity to produce nuclear weapons at all, in case an agreement was reached with the United States”.
In an interview with the “Face the Nation” program on the America CBS channel on Friday night al-Būsa‘īdī explained that the agreement that aims to diminish Iran’s stockpiles of uranium “represents a major concession and change about the Iranian nuclear agreement of 2015”, from which American President Donald Trump withdrew during his first term.
He added that “from his point of view”, an agreement was reached about the matter of the stockpiles, apart from the “full and comprehensive inspections” by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The Omani Foreign Minister answering to a question about the matter of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile said: “it will surrender it”, adding that Iran “will not posses the concentration of that material that could be used to produce a bomb”, pointing out that “the current stockpiles in Iran will be diluted to the most minimal level possible and will be turned into fuel”.
He pointed out that “in case an agreement was reached the agents of the International Atomic Energy Agency will gain full access” to the Iranian nuclear sites, expressing his trust “that the inspectors of the United States will be able to access them during a period of the process”, in case of an agreement.
Al-Būsa‘īdī had met earlier on Friday with American Vice President JD Vance to discuss the latest developments of the negotiations.
His statements came only few hours after Trump said to the press that he “is unsatisfied” with the path of the negotiations, expressing that Iran “is not ready to provide what we need”, underlining the need for Iran to stop the nuclear enrichment, so it would not be able to develop a nuclear weapon.
Al-Būsa‘īdī said that “I don’t understand Trump what he means when he says that not enough effort was taken”, and when he was asked whether he believed that the agreement is enough to convince the United States not to launch military strikes against Iran he answered: “I hope so”.

قال وزير الخارجية العُماني، بدر البوسعيدي، إن “إيران وافقت على التوقف عن تخزين. اليورانيوم المخصب، بما يعني أنها لن تمتلك أبداً كميات كافية لصنع سلاح نووي في حال التوصل إلى اتفاق مع الولايات المتحدة”.
وأوضح. البوسعيدي، في برنامج “واجه الأمة” على قناة CBS الأميركية، أمس الجمعة، أن الاتفاق الذي يهدف إلى إلغاء مخزون إيران من اليورانيوم “يمثل تنازلاً كبيراً وتغييراً عن الاتفاق النووي الإيراني. لعام 2015″، الذي انسحب منه الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب في ولايته الأولى.

وجاءت تصريحاته بعد ساعات من قول. ترامب للصحافة إنه “غير راضٍ” عن سير المفاوضات، معتبراً أن إيران “غير مستعدة لمنحنا ما نحتاجه”، ومشدداً على ضرورة أن توقف. إيران تخصيب اليورانيوم حتى لا تتمكن من تطوير سلاح نووي.
