National Security Affairs Advisor of the General Secretariat at the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic Major General ‘Alī Mamlūk in Moscow discusses the situation of the Middle East.

National Security Advisor at the General Secretariat at the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic Major General ‘Alī Mamlūk underlined the stability and deep rooted nature of the bilateral relations between Syria and Russia, confirming “the importance of continuing the joined coordination to enhance the relations”.
During his meeting with Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev Mamlūk underlined “the need to enhance the relations between the two friendly nations and the joined coordination fighting against terrorism”.
He said that the resilience of the Syrian people under the leadership of President Baššār al-Asad, the sacrifices of the Syrian Army and the support of Russia have foiled all plans aimed by the terrorist organizations that were supported by their financiers and exploiters.

Mamlūk has reiterated his confirmation about the full support of Syria and approval for the Russian military operation in Ukraine, expressing that “what happens today is the correction of history and the protection of the just and humanitarian principles”.
Historic relations between Damascus and Moscow
Mamlūk and Patrushev discussed the situation in the Middle East with the participation of personal envoy of the Russian President to Middle East and African Countries Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.
The two sides have also discussed the matters of Russian-Syrian cooperation aiming to secure the security and sovereignty of Syria.
On his behalf Patrushev said that the Russian-Syrian relations have deep historic roots and in June the two countries will celebrate the 80th anniversary that those had been established. He underlined the “Russian readiness to continue providing support to Syria various fields”.
Patrushev pointed out “the importance of the agreements signed between Damascus and Moscow”, pointing out that those still provide a guideline to the join work.
Major General Mamlūk has arrived in Moscow to participate in the 12th Saint Petersburg Conference for the security affairs officials that will hold its works between 23 and 25 April.

أشاد مستشار شؤون الأمن الوطني في الأمانة العامة لرئاسة الجمهورية العربية السورية، اللواء. علي مملوك، بمتانة وتجذّر العلاقات الثنائية بين سوريا وروسيا، مؤكداً “أهمية استمرار التنسيق المشترك لتعزيز هذه العلاقات”.
وشدّد مملوك خلال لقائه مع أمين مجلس الأمن الروسي نيكولاي باتروشيف على “أهمية. تعزيز العلاقات بين البلدين الصديقين والتنسيق المشترك في مواجهة الإرهاب”.
وقال إنّ صمود الشعب السوري بقيادة الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد، وتضحيات الجيش السوري. ودعم روسيا، أحبطت كل المخططات التي سعت إلى تنفيذها التنظيمات الإرهابية بدعمٍ من مموّليها ومشغّليها.
وجدّد مملوك تأكيد دعم سوريا الكامل وتأييدها للعملية العسكرية الروسية في أوكرانيا، معقّباً أنّ. “ما يحصل اليوم، هو تصحيحٌ للتاريخ ودفاعٌ عن مبادئ العدل والإنسانية”.
علاقات تاريخية بين دمشق وموسكو
وبحث مملوك وباتروشيف الوضع في الشرق الأوسط بحضور الممثّل الخاص للرئيس الروسي لشؤون. الشرق الأوسط وبلدان أفريقيا نائب وزير الخارجية ميخائيل بوغدانوف.
كذلك، بحث الطرفان قضايا التعاون الروسي السوري الهادف إلى ضمان أمن وسيادة سوريا.
بدوره، قال باتروشيف إنّ العلاقات الروسية السورية تملك جذوراً تاريخيةً عميقةً، وسيحتفل البلدان في. تموز/يوليو, المقبل، بمناسبة مرور ثمانين عاماً على إقامتها، مشدداً على “استعداد روسيا لمواصلة تقديم الدعم لسوريا في مختلف المجالات”.
ولفت باتروشيف إلى “أهمية الاتفاقيات الموقّعة بين دمشق وموسكو”، مشيراً إلى أنّها لا تزال تُشكّل علامات إرشاد في العمل المشترك.
وكان اللواء مملوك وصل إلى موسكو للمشاركة في مؤتمر بطرسبورغ الدولي الثاني. عشر للممثّلين السامّيين المسؤولين عن شؤون الأمن، والذي تجري أعماله في بطرسبورغ من الـ 23 إلى الـ 25 من نيسان/أبريل الجاري
