Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says that Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes to have a personal meeting with the Algerian President and invites him to visit Russia.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov revealed on Tuesday that during his visit to Algeria he held negotiations about the development of the military technology cooperation, expressing his gratitude for the stance of the Algerian brothers towards the Russian military operation in Donbas.
Lavrov said that “it has been scheduled to have a Russia-Algeria joint cabinet committee meeting within the next few months in Algeria”, thus confirming that “Russia is with Algeria on the principle of the sovereignty of states, which is a principle being neglected by the United States and its allies”.
Lavrov announced that “Russian President Vladimir Putin “hopes to hold a personal meeting with the Algerian President”, calling him to visit Russia.
Lavrov pointed out that in Russia’s view the head of the European diplomacy, Josep Borel the freezing the Russian assets is “a theft”, underlining that “the European Union has no independent foreign policy left for it, and it is completely a safeguard for the policies of the United States”.
Lavrov confirmed that “Russia will work for the goal to prevent a unilateral world to shape up and to prevent the destruction of those foundations, upon which the Organization of the United Nations were founded”. He also appreciated “the United Arab stance in the Arab League framework”, thus confirming that it is “balanced and objective towards the developments in Ukraine”.
As for the economic side, Lavrov said that “there are $3 billion, which is the trade exchange (with Algeria) and we have wide horizons for this, especially with great interest by the Russian companies (in this matter)”. Thus he pointed out that he discussed with the Algerians the international matters and the affairs connected to the cooperation in the international forums in the “OPEC+”, and oil-producing states framework.
He added: “We are ready to provide more scholarships to the Algerians students”.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived at Algerian on Monday, where he was welcomed by Algerian Foreign Minister Ramṭān La‘amāmara. Lavrov announced that “Russia and Algeria are planning to sign an agreement reflecting the new type of bilateral relations between the two countries”.

وزير الخارجية الروسي، سيرغي لافروف، يقول إنّ الرئيس الروسي، فلاديمير بوتين، يأمل عقد لقاء شخصي مع الرئيس الجزائري، ويدعوه إلى زيارة روسيا.
كشف وزير الخارجية الروسي، سيرغي لافروف، اليوم الثلاثاء، أنّه ناقش خلال زيارته الجزائر، تطوير التعاون العسكري التقني، معبّراً عن تقديره موقف الأشقاء الجزائريين تجاه العملية العسكرية الروسية في دونباس
وقال لافروف إن “من المقرَّر عقد اجتماع للجنة الحكومية المشتركة لروسيا والجزائر بشأن التعاون الاقتصادي في الجزائر، في غضون أشهر قليلة مقبلة”، مؤكداً أنّ “روسيا مع الجزائر لمصلحة مبدأ سيادة الدول، وهو مبدأ يتم تجاهله من جانب الولايات المتحدة وحلفائها”.
وأعلن لافروف أنّ الرئيس الروسي، فلاديمير بوتين، “يأمل عقد لقاء شخصي مع الرئيس الجزائري”، ويدعوه إلى زيارة روسيا.
ولفت لافروف إلى أنّ روسيا ترى أن موقف رئيس الدبلوماسية الأوروبية، جوزيب بوريل، بشأن تجميد الأصول الروسية، هو “سرقة”، مشدداً على أنّ “الاتحاد الأوروبي لم يعد لديه سياسة خارجية مستقلة، وهو متضامن تماماً مع سياسة الولايات المتحدة”.
وأكد لافروف أنّ “روسيا ستعمل بدأب على منع إقامة عالم أحادي القطب، ومنع هدم الأسس التي قامت عليها منظمة الأمم المتحدة”. كما ثمّن “الموقف العربي الموحّد في إطار الجامعة العربية”، مؤكداُ أنه “متّزن وموضوعي تجاه التطورات في أوكرانيا”.
أمّا بشأن الجانب الاقتصادي، فقال لافروف إن “هناك 3 مليارات دولار هي حجم التبادل (مع الجزائر)، ولدينا آفاق اوسع من ذلك، وخصوصاً مع اهتمام كبير من الشركات الروسية (في هذا الخصوص)”، مشيراً إلى أنّه ناقش مع الجزائريين ملفات دولية ومواضيع تتعلق بالتنسيق في المحافل الدولية، وإطار “أوبك بلس” والدول المصدرة للغاز.
وأضاف: “نحن مستعدون لتقديم مزيد من المنح إلى الطلاب الجزائريين”.
