Yāsir Abū Šabāb got killed in Rafaḥ, the southern part of the Gaza Strip with a number of his deputies in a “negative development for Israel”.

On Tuesday afternoon the Israeli media reported the murder of Yāsir Abū Šabāb and a number of his deputies in Rafaḥ, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, describing this as a “negative development for Israel”.
The Israeli Channel 12 stated that “the investigation is still ongoing whether members of Ḥamās had infiltrated into the area under the control of Abū Šabāb and assassinated him”.
In this context the “Deterrent” Force of the Palestinian Resistance’s Security in Gaza posted a picture of Abū Šabāb and wrote next to it: “As we had told you, Israel will not protect you”.
The Israeli “military” radio pointed out that “high ranging security officials in the army were opposing the idea of forming a militia that is cooperating with Israel in Gaza, as its fate if for sure, which is murder and the failed experience of Southern Lebanon is an example for all to see”.
According to the Israeli “KAN” website Abū Šabāb had met with American envoy Jared Kushner on 11 November at the American headquarters in the south of occupied Palestine and had discussed with him the role of his force in the areas that are not under the control of Ḥamās.
Yāsir Abū Šabāb was a prisoner of the government in Gaza because of theft and drug charges, but escaped from prison after an Israeli airstrike close to him in the beginning of 2023. He started to run the only militia that was cooperating with the Occupation in Gaza.
According to the Israeli “military” radio, “Israel” provided weapons to the members of the militia, as many of these weapons were from Ḥamās. These had been taken within the strip (like Kalashnikov rifles), and later on were handed over to the members of the militia that was concentrating its activities to the area of Rafaḥ.

أعلنت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية، بعد ظهر الثلاثاء، مقتل ياسر أبو شباب وعدد من. معاونيه في رفح جنوبي قطاع غزة، واصفةً ذلك بـ “التطوّر السيّئ بالنسبة لإسرائيل”.
وقالت “القناة 12” الإسرائيلية، إنّه “يتمّ التحقّق مما إذا كان عناصر من حماس قد. تسلّلوا إلى منطقة سيطرة أبو شباب وقاموا باغتياله”.
وفي هذا السياق، نشرت قوة “رادع” التابعة لأمن المقاومة الفلسطينية بغزة. صورة أبو شباب، كُتب عليه: “كما قلنا لك، إسرائيل لن تحميك
وأشارت إذاعة “جيش” الاحتلال الإسرائيلي إلى أنّ “مسؤولين أمنيين كباراً في الجيش. اعترضوا على فكرة تشكيل ميليشيات متعاونة مع إسرائيل في غزة لأنّ مصيرها محتوم وهو القتل وتجربة. جنوب لبنان الفاشلة ماثلة أمام أعين الجميع”.
أبو شباب اجتمع وفق قناة “كان” الإسرائيلية، مع المبعوث الأميركي. جاريد كوشنر، في 11 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر في. مقر القيادة الأميركية جنوبي فلسطين المحتلة وبحث معه دور قواته في المناطق التي خارج سيطرة حماس.
وكان ياسر أبو شباب، سجيناً لدى الحكومة في غزة، بتهم سرقة ومخدّرات، وفرّ من. السجن عقب غارة إسرائيلية قربه في بداية العدوان في العام 2023، وأصبح يدير الميليشيا الوحيدة التي كانت تتعاون مع الاحتلال في غزة.
