The Israeli media reveals the pessimism in which American mediator Amos Hochstein returned from Lebanon. That is because Ḥizb Allah holds on to connect the two fields. This means that a calm in the North needs a calm in the South.

The Israeli media drew a connection between what threat Ḥizb Allah presents in the North in a video “the Hoopoe” at the same time with the visit by American mediator Amos Hochstein to Lebanon before returning to “Israel” in a state of “pessimism”.

Political commentator of the Israeli “Channel 12” Yaron Abraham said that Hochstein “now meets with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his office and informs him about the messages he heard during the negotiations he held in Lebanon”. Adding also that “the Americans are indeed trying everything to prevent the war in the North”.

Abraham pointed out that “Hochstein before his journey to Lebanon had met not only with Netanyahu for the first time, but also with Security Minister Yoav Galant and Chief of Staff Hertzi Halevy, and also with Ben Griv, Yair Lapid, Itzhac Hertzog and a group of Israeli officials”.

He added that Hochstein told the officials with whom he held discussions with “the worry especially by the negotiations he held with the Chief of Staff”, as he “did not understand what is the Israeli military plan and what is the next plan”.

During these negotiations he held Hochstein explained that “Ḥizb Allah is frankly unable to differentiate between the two fields, because Naṣr Allah holds on to his commitment since 8 October to keep firing and escalating as long as the southern front is active”.

As a result Hochstein said that it is capable of “making arrangements in the North”, pointing out that he has “a 13 points plan Ḥizb Allah can carry out and by that it can make arrangements, but arrangements like these will be linked to the calm in the south”. Thus according to what Abraham reported.

It should be remembered that Hochstein held a visit to Lebanon on Tuesday, where he met with Speaker of the Lebanese House of Representatives Nabīh Barrī and acting Prime Minister Nağīb Mīqātī, but also with Commander in Chief of the Lebanese Army Brigadier General Joseph ‘Awn.

The American envoy from Beirut confirmed that the situation at the Lebanese border with occupied Palestine is very dangerous, talking about ongoing attempts to stop the escalation that might lead to a broader war.

Hochstein described the situation in Lebanon as “very precarious”, expressing that “the conflict went very far”.

He added that a ceasefire in Gaza ending the war “opens space for diplomatic solutions, and that might also puts and end to the conflict along the Blue Line”, thus confirming that the calm along the border will allow the return of the residents to Southern Lebanon.

At the same time with the visit by Hochstein the war correspondence of the Lebanese Islamic Resistance published areal reconnaissance footages at the north of occupied Palestine retrieved by the air forces of the Resistance under the title: “This what the Hoopoe came back with”.

إعلام إسرائيلي: هوكستين عاد من لبنان بحالة من التشاؤم.. حزب الله لن يفصل بين الساحات

وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية تكشف عن تشاؤم عاد به الوسيط الأميركي عاموس هوكستين. من لبنان، وذلك لأنّ حزب الله متمسّك بالربط بين الساحات، ما يعني أنّ التهدئة في الشمال تتطلّب تهدئة في الجنوب.

ربطت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية بين ما أظهره حزب الله من تحدٍ في الشمال من خلال فيديو. “الهدهد”، بالتزامن مع زيارة الوسيط الأميركي عاموس هوكستين إلى لبنان، قبل أن يعود إلى “إسرائيل” بحالة من “التشاؤم”. 

وقال معلّق الشؤون السياسية في “القناة الـ 12” الإسرائيلية، يارون أبراهام، إنّ هوكستين “يجتمع. الآن مع رئيس الحكومة بنيامين نتنياهو في مكتبه، ويبلغه بالرسائل التي سمعها من المحادثات التي أجراها في. لبنان”، مضيفاً أنّ “الأميركيين يحاولون فعل كل شيء من أجل منع الحرب في الشمال”. 

ولفت أبراهام إلى أنّ “هوكستين، اجتمع قبل سفره إلى لبنان، ليس فقط مع نتنياهو في. المرة الأولى، بل مع وزير الأمن يوآف غالانت، ومع رئيس هيئة أركان الجيش هرتسي هاليفي، وأيضاً. مع بني غانتس ويائير لابيد وإسحاق هرتسوغ، ومع مجموعة من المسؤولين الإسرائيليين”.

وأضاف أنّ هوكستين قال للمسؤولين الذين تحدث معهم إنّه “قلق تحديداً من المحادثات التي. أجراها مع رئيس الأركان”، إذ إنّه “لم يفهم ما هي الخطة العسكرية لإسرائيل، وما هي الخطوة التالية”. 

وفي هذه المحادثات التي أجراها، أوضح هوكستين للمسؤولين الإسرائيليين، أنّ “حزب الله. ببساطة غير قادر على الفصل بين الساحات، لأنّ نصر الله متمسك بالتزامه منذ الثامن من. تشرين الأول/أكتوبر الماضي، بمواصلة إطلاق النار والتصعيد طالما أن الساحة الجنوبية نشطة”. 

وكنتيجة، قال هوكستين إنّ باستطاعته “القيام بترتيب في الشمال”، مشيراً إلى أنّ لديه “خطة من. 13 نقطة يستطيع أن يجعل الحزب ينفّذها، وقد يجري عليها تعديلات، لكنّ ترتيباً كهذا. سيكون مرتبطاً بالتهدئة في الجنوب”، بحسب ما نقل أبراهام. 

يُذكر أنّ هوكستين أجرى زيارة إلى لبنان في وقتٍ سابق الثلاثاء، حيث التقى رئيس مجلس. النواب اللبناني، نبيه بري، ورئيس حكومة تصريف الأعمال نجيب ميقاتي، وأيضاً قائد الجيش اللبناني، العماد جوزيف عون. 

وأكد المبعوث الأميركي، من بيروت، أنّ الوضع عند الحدود اللبنانية مع فلسطين المحتلة في غاية. الخطورة، مُتحدثاً عن مواصلة السعي لوقف التصعيد تفادياً لتوسيع الحرب. 

ووصف هوكستين الوضع في لبنان بـ “الدقيق جداً”، معتبراً أنّ “النزاع ذهب إلى حدٍ بعيد”.

وأضاف أنّ وقف إطلاق النّار في غزة ينهي الحرب و”يفتح المجال للحلول الدبلوماسية، وهذا قد يضع. أيضاً حداً للنزاع على طول الخط الأزرق”، مؤكداً أنّ  التّهدئة على الحدود ستسمح بعودة السكان إلى جنوبي لبنان.
