A special source of the Iranian television said that a meeting was held between Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī and special envoy of the American President Steve Witkoff on the margins of the U.N. General Assembly, which happened after the insistence of the American envoy.
The source mentioned that the reason behind accepting the request of Witkoff to hold a meeting was to “inform the conditions of Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz”.
He pointed out that the American envoy was informed about the definite matters of Iran during the meeting, reporting: “The conditions of Iran fore reopening the Strait of Hormuz are the immediate lifting the naval blockade, immediately restoring all frozen Iranian assets and to end the war on all fronts”.
Earlier on Tuesday American President Donald Trump during his speech on the 81st General Assembly called upon Iran to make a deal, saying that Tehran continues to “build missiles that are threatening American”. Thus according to what he said.
A high level Iranian security policy source had told al-Mayadeen that Trump aims to once again go back to negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, contrary to his fiery claims and speeches.
The American army is facing massive pressure by the war on Iran according to what insightful American officials stated to the “The Interest” website about what is going on in the “Middle East”.
The Israeli “Central Matter” website in an article talks about “the strategic American defeat in its unnecessary war against Iran and its widespread repercussions”, as “now it has been revealed for everyone all what Trump tried to hide at any cost and all what Heghseth tried to frenetically deny, all what the White House officials intention hid”.

قال مصدر خاص للتلفزيون الإيراني، إنّ اجتماعاً عُقِد بين وزير الخارجية عباس عراقتشي، والمبعوث الخاص للرئيس الأميركي، ستيف ويتكوف، على هامش الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، وذلك بعد إصرار المندوب الأميركي.
وذكر المصدر أنّ السبب وراء قبول طلب ويتكوف لعقد اللقاء كان “إبلاغ شروط إيران لإعادة فتح مضيق هرمز”.
وأشار إلى أنّ إبلاغ المندوب الأميركي بمواضيع إيران الحاسمة قد تم خلال اللقاء، مردفاً: “شروط إيران لإعادة فتح هرمز هي رفع الحصار البحري فوراً والسداد الفوري لجميع الأموال الإيرانية المجمّدة، وإنهاء الحرب في جبهات المقاومة كلها
وفي وقتٍ سابق اليوم، دعا الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، خلال كلمة في الدورة الـ 81 للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، إيرانَ إلى إبرام صفقة”، قائلاً إن طهران تستمر بـ “بناء الصواريخ التي تهدّد الأميركيين”، على حدّ قوله.
وكان مصدر إيراني أمني سياسي رفيع قد قال للميادين، إنّ ترامب، يسعى إلى العودة من جديد للمفاوضات مع الجمهورية الإسلامية في إيران، على عكس الادعاءات وخطابات التهويل.
