The former President of the Syrian Oppositional Coalition, “Hālid Hūğa” said that he is of Turkish descent and he supported the “Movement” in Syria “as a Turk”, which caused a huge wave of criticism against him.

“Hūğa” during and interview in the “al-Muwāğāha (Clash)” on the Emirati Sky News channel he added: “In Syria we are Turks, and as Turks of Syria our dissidence is not old, but happened during the era of the Republic of the ‘50s”, pointing out that he left “Syria” in the ‘80s and returned to “Turkey”, “to my Turkish relatives”.
The former President of the Oppositional Coalition, who is until this day is a member of a Turkish oppositional Party, said that he supported the “Movement” in Syria as a Turk. But many of those, who followed the events are still wondering why he accepted the leadership of the Presidency of the Syrian Oppositional Coalition and why he did not content to give support for it as a Turk?
The (by his words) Turkish “Hūğa” posed accusations against the Syrian legal assassinations, because they slandered the deserter [military] officers, and posed accusations against them. Meaning “Islām ‘Allūš”, former official spokesman for the terrorist “Ğayš al-Islām [Army of Islam]”, who was arrested in Paris for charges of committing war crimes.

“خوجة” وخلال لقاء معه في برنامج “المواجهة” على قناة “سكاي نيوز” الإماراتية، أضاف: «في سوريا نحن أتراك، ومن أتراك سوريا وهجرتنا ليست قديمة، كانت في عهد الجمهورية في الخمسينيات»، مشيراً أنه حين خرج من “سوريا” في الثمانينات عاد إلى “تركيا”، «إلى أقاربي الأتراك
الرئيس الأسبق للائتلاف المعارض، والذي بات اليوم أحد أعضاء حزب تركي معارض، قال إنه دعم”الحراك” في سوريا كتركي، بينما تساءل المتابعون، طالما أنه دعم كتركي، لماذا استلم زمام رئاسة الائتلاف السوري المعارض، ولماذا لم يكتفِ بتقديم الدعم كتركي؟
وكان التركي (كما قال) “خوجة” قد وجه اتهامات لمنظمات حقوقية سورية بأنها قامت بـ”الوشاية” على ضباط منشقين وتلفيق اتهامات لهم، قاصداً “إسلام علوش” الناطق الرسمي السابق باسم “جيش الإسلام” الارهابي والذي تم اعتقاله في “باريس” على خلفية اتهامات بارتكابه جرائم حرب
