Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan describes the differences between Saudi Arabia and the Emirates as they are “differences within the same family”, and confirms the work to surpass them and that they are heading for more positive”.
On Thursday Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that his country has shared interests with Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, thus confirming that “the differences with the, have been surpassed”.
Erdoğan downplayed the differences of Turkey with Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, pointing out that these are “differences within one family and have been resolved”.
The Turkish President added: “We have surpassed the differences between Riyadh and Abū Zabī, and laid out a plan to rapidly develop the bilateral relations in the fields of trade, industry, defense industry, culture, and tourism. We take steps for that”.
He pointed out his recent visit to the Emirates expressing his condolences for the death of the President of the State of the Emirates aš-Šayh Halīfa ibn Zāyid Āl Nahyān.
Erdoğan said that “the relations with Saudi Arabia are also heading for more positive”. Thus expressing his trust that “the path Turkey has taken towards the two states will have a very important contribution, both on the trade and the political levels”.
He also confirmed Turkey sharing its expertise in the field of defense industry with Saudi Arabia and the Emirates.
The Turkish President on 2 May announced that “the relations between Ankara and Riyadh head to a very exceptional level in various fields”.
At that time Erdoğan said that “the relations of his country with the Gulf region will witness a positive development, and the Saudi-Turkish relations will reach an exceptional level”. Thus pointing out that he addressed the matter with Saudi Crown Prince Muḥammad ibn Salmān.

الرئيس التركي رجب طيب إردوغان يصف الخلافات مع السعودية والإمارات بأنّها “خلافات داخل الأسرة الواحدة”، ويؤكد العمل على تجاوزها والمضي في اتجاه أكثر إيجابية
قال الرئيس التركي رجب طيب إردوغان، يوم أمس الخميس، إنّ لبلاده قواسم مشتركة مع السعودية والإمارات، مؤكداً أنّ “الخلافات معهما تمّ تجاوزها”.
وقلّل إردوغان من شأن خلافات تركيا مع السعودية والإمارات، مشيراً إلى أنّها “خلافات داخل الأسرة الواحدة، وتمّ تجاوزها”.
وأضاف الرئيس التركي: “تجاوزنا الخلافات مع الرياض وأبو ظبي، ووضعنا خططاً لتطوير سريع للعلاقات الثنائية في مجالات التجارة والصناعة والصناعات الدفاعية والثقافة والسياحة، ونتخذ خطوات لذلك”.
وأشار إلى زيارته مؤخراً للإمارات لتقديم العزاء بوفاة رئيس دولة الإمارات الشيخ خليفة بن زايد آل نهيان.
وقال إردوغان إنّ “العلاقات مع السعودية أيضاً تسير في اتجاه أكثر إيجابية”، معرباً عن ثقته بأنّ “المسار الذي بدأته تركيا تجاه البلدين، سيقدّم مساهمات مهمة للغاية، سواء على الصعيدين التجاري أو السياسي”.
وأكد مشاركة تركيا خبراتها في مجال الصناعات الدفاعية مع كل من السعودية والإمارات.
وأعلن الرئيس التركي، في 2 أيار/مايو الجاري، أنّ “العلاقات بين أنقرة والرياض سترتقي إلى مستوى متميز جداً في مختلف المجالات”.
وقال إردوغان حينذاك إنّ “علاقات بلاده مع منطقة الخليج تشهد تطورات إيجابية، والعلاقات السعودية التركية سترتقي إلى مستوى متميز”، مشيراً إلى أنّه تناول هذه المسألة مع ولي العهد السعودي محمد بن سلمان
