Algerian Foreign Minister Ramṭān La‘māmara confirms that Algeria having to cut its relations with Morocco completely was forced by strong objective reasons.
Algerian Foreign Minister Ramṭān La‘māmara on Saturday denied there would be any mediation between Algeria and Morocco, stating that “whoever caused the relations to be cut with it holds responsibility”.
La‘māmara said in a statement broadcasted by the Algerian international channel that “the matter of relations with Morocco does not handle any form of mediation. Not in the past, not in the present, nor in the future”. This also points out that his statements come despite the strong Algerian relations with some parties (hinting at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
A few days ago Moroccan media reports broadcasted that “Saudi Foreign Minister Fayṣal ibn Farḥān offered the mediation of Riyadh in the Algerian-Moroccan crisis”. This matter was categorically denied by Algeria.
La‘amāmara today underlined that “Algeria having to cut its relations with Morocco completely was forced by strong objective reasons”. Thus also expressing that “the party that undermined the relations between the two countries is responsible for repairing them”.
La‘amāmara confirmed that “Algeria and Saudi Arabia are brought together by numerous projects and agreements, but without any interference in these relations by the Moroccan matter”.
According to Algeria crisis between Algeria and Morocco started after Morocco used unilateral policies, and “launched a media war against Algeria”. The crisis worsened after the two states cut their diplomatic ties with each other.

وزير الخارجية الجزائري رمطان لعمامرة يؤكد أنّ لجوء الجزائر إلى قطع علاقاتها الدبلوماسية بشكلٍ كامل مع المغرب فرضته أسباب موضوعية قوية
نفى وزير الخارجية الجزائري، رمطان لعمامرة، اليوم السبت، وجود أيّ وساطة بين الجزائر والمغرب، مصرحاً أنّ “من تسبب في قطع العلاقات عليه أن يتحمل المسؤولية”.
وقال لعمامرة في تصريحٍ نقلته قناة الجزائر الدولية إنّ “ملف العلاقات مع المغرب لا يحتمل أي شكل من أشكال الوساطة لا في الماضي، ولا حالياً ولا في المستقبل”، لافتاً إلى أنّ تصريحاته تأتي بغض النظر عن العلاقات الجزائرية القوية التي تجمعها ببعض الأطراف؛ (في إشارة إلى المملكة العربية السعودية).
وأفادت قبل أيام تقارير إعلامية مغربية بأنّ “وزير خارجية السعودية فيصل بن فرحان عرض وساطة الرياض في الأزمة المغربية الجزائرية”، الأمر الذي نفته الجزائر جملة وتفصيلاً.
وشدد لعمامرة، اليوم، على أنّ “لجوء الجزائر إلى قطع علاقاتها الدبلوماسية بشكلٍ كامل مع المغرب، فرضته أسباب موضوعية قوية”، معتبراً أن “الطرف الذي قام بتخريب العلاقات بين البلدين هو المسؤول عن إصلاحها”.
وأكّد لعمامرة، أنّ “الجزائر والسعودية تجمعهما مشاريع واتفاقيات عدّة، لكن من دون إقحام ملف المغرب في هذه العلاقات”.
