The Commander of the Lebanese Army warns about “daily order” at the anniversary of the independence concerning a fateful phase Lebanon is going through in light of the continuous Israeli aggressions that complicates the deployment of the army and targets the stability, confirming the commitment of the military establishment to implement Resolution 1701.

Commander of the Lebanese Army Lieutenant General Rudolf Haykal issued a “daily order” in the anniversary of the 82nd anniversary of the Lebanese independence confirming that the country is going through a “fateful phase that counts to be one of the hardest in its history” amidst of continued Israeli occupation of the Lebanese lands and the escalating aggressions and violations. He confirmed that the liberation of the Lebanese lands compliments the anniversary of the independence.

Lieutenant General Haykal explained that the continued Israeli aggressions cause martyrs and injuries and prevent the army to continue its deployment in the Lebanese lands, in addition to causing destruction in the properties and the installations.

He pointed out that the Lebanese army took heroic efforts since the cessation of hostilities agreement became implemented, despite the limited possibilities and the difficulties. He explained that these efforts come in the frame of implementing its plan and strengthening its presence in the area to the south of the Litani River, guaranteeing the control of the state authority over all of its lands.

The commander of the army explained that the efforts that had been taken came to implement the decision of the Lebanese government and to comply with Resolution 1701 and all its points. This is taking place in coordination with the “UNIFIL” Forces and the “mechanism” committee that is designated to implement the resolution.

He pointed out that the success of these efforts careful moves by the state authorities in the frame of a comprehensive national effort and providing capabilities. He confirmed the army’s efforts also require the improvement of the conditions of the army personnel and providing the necessary circumstances to regain stability.

Lieutenant General Haykal pointed out that the army at the same time continues to combat terrorism and apprehend those undermining the security, combats the drug smuggling in various Lebanese regions, while working on securing the northern and the eastern borders and the regional waters protecting them and preventing the smuggling, in coordination with the Syrian authorities.

وجّه قائد الجيش اللبناني، العماد رودولف هيكل، “أمر اليوم” بمناسبة عشية. الذكرى الـ82 لاستقلال لبنان، مؤكداً أن البلاد تمرّ بـ “مرحلة مصيرية تُعدّ من الأصعب في تاريخها”، وسط استمرار الاحتلال. الإسرائيلي لأراضٍ لبنانية وتصاعد الاعتداءات والانتهاكات، مؤكداً أن تحرير الأراضي اللبنانية يكمل ذكرى الاستقلال.

 وأوضح العماد هيكل أن الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية المتواصلة تؤدي إلى شهداء. وجرحى، وتمنع الجيش من استكمال انتشاره على الأراضي اللبنانية، فضلاً عن تسببها بدمار في الممتلكات والمنشآت. 

وأشار إلى أن الجيش اللبناني بذل جهوداً جبّارة منذ دخول اتفاق وقف الأعمال. العدائية حيز التنفيذ، على الرغم من الإمكانات المحدودة والصعوبات، موضحاً أن تلك الجهود. تأتي في إطار تطبيق خطته وتعزيز انتشاره في قطاع جنوب. الليطاني، بما يضمن بسط سلطة الدولة على جميع أراضيها

وأوضح قائد الجيش أن الجهود المبذولة تأتي تنفيذاً لقرار الحكومة اللبنانية وللالتزام. بالقرار 1701 ومندرجاته كافة، وذلك بالتنسيق. مع قوات “اليونيفيل” ولجنة “الميكانيزم” المعنية بمتابعة تنفيذ القرار. 

وأشار إلى أنّ نجاح هذه الجهود يستلزم مواكبة حثيثة من مؤسسات الدولة ضمن. إطار جهد وطني شامل وتوفير الإمكانات، مؤكداً أن جهود الجيش تستلزم كذلك تحسين أوضاع العسكريين. وتهيئة الظروف الضرورية لاستعادة الاستقرار.

ولفت العماد هيكل إلى أن الجيش يواصل، بالتوازي، محاربة الإرهاب. وملاحقة المخلّين بالأمن ومكافحة الاتجار بالمخدرات في مختلف المناطق اللبنانية، فيما يواصل العمل على ضبط. الحدود الشمالية والشرقية والمياه الإقليمية وحمايتها ومنع التهريب، بالتنسيق مع السلطات السورية
