Çavuşoğlu: We are not leaning towards participating in the sanctions against Russia.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said yesterday, on Tuesday that his country is not leaning towards participating in imposing sanctions over Russia.

Çavuşoğlu said that: “We have not taken part in such scale sanctions in the basis of principles and we are not leaning towards participating in the actual ones either”. Thus according to what the Anadolu news agency said.

In the similar context Çavuşoğlu announced that his country asked from Moscow to withdraw its request about allowing the ships not registered within the Russian Black Sea Fleet to cross Turkish straits, adding that the Russian government accepted this.

Previously the official spokesman of the Turkish Presidency Ibrahim Kalın said that Turkey is not planning to join the sanctions against Russia preserving its trusted trade relations with it in various fields, including the tourism, the natural gas and the agriculture.

Russia has started a special military operation in Donbas last Thursday, after the republics of Donbas and Luhansk asked for help to defend their lands from the heavy attacks by the Ukrainian forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that the operation targets the military infrastructure in Ukraine and that the civilians are not in danger. Moscow said that it does not plan to occupy Ukraine, but to disarm Kiev and stop its threats.

The West have already responded to the Russian operation by imposing a huge array of sanctions upon Russia, but the latter confirmed its readiness to reciprocate the expected measures.

أوغلو: لا نميل إلى المشاركة في العقوبات ضد روسيا

وزير الخارجية التركي مولود جاويش أوغلو يؤكد أنّ بلاده لن تشارك في فرض عقوبات على روسيا، ويشير إلى رفض بلاده طلباً تقدّمت به موسكو بشأن أسطول البحر الأسود

قال وزير الخارجية التركي مولود جاويش أوغلو، أمس الثلاثاء، إنّ بلاده لا تميل إلى المشاركة في فرض عقوبات على روسيا.

وقال جاويش أوغلو: “لم نشارك في مثل هذه العقوبات بشكل عام من حيث المبدأ، ولا نميل إلى المشاركة في العقوبات الحالية أيضاً”، بحسب وكالة الأناضول.

وفي سياق متصل، أعلن جاويش أوغلو أنّ بلاده طلبت من موسكو سحب طلبها بشأن السماح لسفن غير مسجلة ضمن أسطول البحر الأسود الروسي بعبور المضائق التركية، مضيفاً أنّ الحكومة الروسية قبلت بذلك. 

وفي وقت سابق، أكد متحدث الرئاسة التركية إبراهيم قالن أنّ تركيا لا تخطط للالتحاق بالعقوبات ضد روسيا، حفاظاً على العلاقات التجارية الوثيقة معها في عدة ميادين، بينها السياحة والغاز والزراعة.

وبدأت روسيا عملية عسكرية خاصة في أوكرانيا، يوم الخميس الماضي، بعد أن طلبت جمهوريتا دونيتسك ولوغانسك المساعدة في الدفاع عن أراضيهما من الهجمات المكثفة للقوات الأوكرانية.

وقالت وزارة الدفاع الروسية إنّ العملية تستهدف البنية التحتية العسكرية في أوكرانيا، وأنّ المدنيين ليسوا في خطر. وتقول موسكو إنّها لا تخطط لاحتلال أوكرانيا، إنما نزع سلاح كييف ووقف تهديداتها.

وقد ردّ الغرب على العملية الروسية بفرض حزمة كبيرة من العقوبات على روسيا، لكنّ الأخيرة أكدت استعدادها لمثل هذه الإجراءات المتوقعة
