وقبل يومين، نفت مصادر للميادين احتمال إجراء اتصال بين الرئيسين السوري بشار الأسد، والتركي رجب طيب إردوغان، وفق ما تحدثت وسائل إعلام تركية بشأن احتمال حدوث اتصال بين الرئيسين.
وأفادت مراسلة الميادين في دمشق، نقلاً عن مصادر رفيعة، بأنّ الحديث عن احتمال الاتصال بين الرئيسين الأسد وإردوغان “غير صحيح إطلاقاً”.
وكانت وسائل إعلام تركية قالت، في وقت سابق، إنّ “الرئيس إردوغان ونظيره السوري قد يُجريان اتصالاً هاتفياً، خلال الفترة المقبلة، بناءً على اقتراح من الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين”، مشيرةً إلى أنّ “هناك اتصالاتٍ دبلوماسية من بلدٍ خليجي وآخر أفريقي مع سوريا وتركيا، من أجل ترتيب اللقاء بين رئيسي البلدين”.
وكان مكتب الرئاسة الروسي (الكرملين) أكد أنّ بوتين وإردوغان بحثا في الوضع في سوريا خلال قمتهما الثنائية في سوتشي، مشددَين على “دعمهما المحافظة على وحدة سوريا
