American President Joe Biden confirms in a recorded interview that he considers himself to be a “Zionist” and shares details about a Saudi request he received about the readiness of Riyadh to fully recognize “Israel”.

American President Joe Biden said that he considers himself to be a “Zionist”, claiming at the same time that “he gave more to the Palestinian society than any other person”.
Biden’s words came in a recorded interview with Speedy Morman at the “Complex” channel that was recorded on Friday, meaning one day before the assassination attempt against former president Donald Trump, and was aired on Monday.
When he was asked about the reason for his current strong support for “Israel” the American President answered saying that “if there were no Israel all the Jews in around the world would in danger, so there is a need for a strong Israel to exist and for it being a safe heaven for the Jews”.
When the host asked him directly if he was a Zionist Biden answered with “Yes”, adding that “it is not necessary to be a Jew to be a Zionist”.
Biden said that the people “don’t know what is Zionism”, before he pointed out what he did for the Palestinians, like the pressure to make humanitarian reliefs reach the Gaza Strip amidst the war that is going on for months.
Also, he revealed that he had received a request from the Saudis that they are ready to fully recognize “Israel”, if Washington gave them guarantees toto protect them and to allow them to set up a civilian nuclear installation, so they could step away from the fossil fuels.
Biden continued saying that “this could change the rules of the game in the whole region”.

قال الرئيس الأميركي، جو بايدن، إنه يعتبر نفسه “صهيونياً”، زاعماً في الوقت نفسه أنه “قدّم. للمجتمع الفلسطيني أكثر من أي شخص آخر”.
وجاء كلام بايدن في مقابلة مسجلة مع سبيدي مورمان من شبكة “كومبلكس”، تمّ تسجيلها يوم الجمعة، أي. قبل يوم من محاولة اغتيال الرئيس السابق دونالد ترامب، ونُشرت أمس الاثنين.
وعندما سُئل عن سبب دعمه القوي حالياً لـ”إسرائيل”، أجاب الرئيس الأميركي بالقول إنه “لولا وجود إسرائيل. لكان كل يهودي في العالم في خطر، لذلك هناك ضرورة لأن تكون إسرائيل قوية ولأن تكون ملاذا آمناً لليهود”.
وعندما سأله المحاور مباشرةً عمّا إذا كان صهيونياً، أجاب بايدن بـ”نعم”، مضيفاً أنه “ليس من الضروري. أن تكون يهودياً لكي تكون صهيونياً”.
وقال بايدن إنّ الناس “لا يعرفون ما هو الصهيوني”، قبل أن يشير إلى ما فعله للفلسطينيين، مثل الضغط من. أجل وصول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى قطاع غزة وسط الحرب المستمرة منذ أشهر.
كذلك، كشف أنه تلقى طلباً من السعوديين بأنهم مستعدين للاعتراف الكامل بـ”إسرائيل”، إذا قدّمت لهم. واشنطن ضمانات للدفاع وسمحت لهم بإنشاء منشأة نووية مدنية، ليتمكنوا من الاستغناء عن الوقود الأحفوري.
وتابع بايدن قائلاً، إنّ “هذا يغير قواعد اللعبة في المنطقة بأكملها
