President of the Free National Movement in Lebanon Ğubrān Bāsīl [former Foreign Minister] commented on the phone call of Abū Zabī Crown Prince Muḥammad ibn Zāyid to Syrian President Baššār al-Asad and confirmed that Syria shall not be left alone in these difficult circumstances.

Bāsīl today, on Saturday, said: “The brotherly Arab Syria shall not be left alone in these trying circumstances”. Only one sentence sum up all the noble Arab traits, so thousand salutations to all humane initiatives an Arab leader starts towards a dear Arab nation. And tomorrow salutations to all steps of rapprochement between Arabs.
Ibn Zāyid yesterday made a telephone call with Baššār al-Asad and inquired on the effects of the spread of the Corona Virus, hence the Crown Prince of Abū Zabī confirmed the support of the Emirates and its aids to the Syrian people in these exceptional circumstances.
