On Monday Iranian Foreign Minister Badr al-Būsa‘īdī met with his Omani counterpart Badr al-Būsa‘īdī in Geneva, where the viewpoints of Iran were discussed about the nuclear matters and the matter of lifting the sanctions.
‘Arāqčī expressed his gratitude “for the gracious efforts taken by the Sultanate of Oman providing support for pushing the diplomatic process ahead”.
‘Arāqčī confirmed the will and seriousness of Iran to use the diplomacy based on the current results to secure the interests of the Iranian people and their legal right, to protect the peace and the stability in the region.
On his behalf the Omani Foreign Minister pointed out the role of Iran in the safeguarding and the strengthening of regional security and stability, praising its will to go on with the diplomatic process. He expressed his hope that this round of negotiations would bring success.
The Foreign Ministry had announced on Sunday that ‘Arāqčī is heading to the Swiss city of Geneva ahead of diplomatic delegation, to participate on the second round of the indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States.

التقى وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقتشي، اليوم الاثنين، نظيره العماني بدر. البوسعيدي، في جنيف، حيث تم استعراض وجهات نظر إيران بشأن القضايا النووية وملف رفع العقوبات.
وأعرب عراقتشي عن تقديره “للمساعي الحميدة التي تبذلها سلطنة عُمان. في المساعدة على دفع العملية الدبلوماسية الجارية
وأكد عراقتشي عزم إيران وجديتها في استخدام الدبلوماسية القائمة على. النتائج، لتأمين مصالح الشعب الإيراني وحقوقه المشروعة وحماية السلام والاستقرار في المنطقة.
من جانبه، أشار وزير الخارجية العُماني إلى دور إيران في حفظ وتعزيز. الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي، مشيداً بثباتها في مواصلة المسار الدبلوماسي، ومعرباً عن أمله في أن تتوج هذه. الجولة من المباحثات بالنجاح.
