Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī talks about the latest developments in the Irani-Saudi negotiations held in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī revealed that the Irani-Saudi negotiations, which took place in Baghdad “reached an advanced stage”.
Al-Kāẓimī pointed out that “Iraq played an important role in views closer between the states of the region by hosting the Saudi-Iranian dialogue”.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān confirmed on 26 May that “Iran and Saudi Arabia are two great and influential states in the region and Tehran has never cut its diplomatic relations with Riyadh completely”.
The Iranian Foreign Minister pointed out that “there is progress in the recent negotiations between his country and Saudi Arabia”. Thus expressing that it welcomes “the return the joint bilateral relations to their natural state”.
On his behalf, the Saudi Foreign Minister while participating in the Davos Global Forum said: “in the Gulf and the GCC countries we concentrate on a future built on security and cooperation, and our hands are extended to Iran and to all countries”.
Meanwhile, member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Ğavād Karīmī Qodūsī announced that Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān will soon meet his Saudi counterpart Fayṣal ibn Farḥān Āl Saūd in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
The Iranian “Nūr News” agency revealed on 23 April that the fifth round of negotiations between high delegates of Iran and Saudi Arabia was held in Iraq and confirmed that “the officials of the two states outlined a more clear vision to relaunch the relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran”.
After it was held, the official spokesman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Maḥmūd ‘Abbāszāde Meškīnī praised the negotiating round and described it as “very positive and constructive”. Thus expressing that “if the important states, like Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey enjoy good relations (with one another) the region of Western Asia can transform into a strong block”.

رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي يتحدث عن آخر مستجدات المباحثات الإيرانية السعودية في العاصمة العراقية بغداد
كشف رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي أنّ المباحثات الإيرانية السعودية التي جرت في بغداد “وصلت إلى مراحل متقدمة”.
ولفت الكاظمي إلى أنّ “العراق لعب دوراً مهماً في تقريب وجهات النظر بين الدول الإقليمية من خلال استضافة الحوار بين السعودية وإيران”.
هذا وأكّد وزير الخارجية الإيراني حسين أمير عبد اللهيان، في 26 أيار/مايو، أنّ “إيران والسعودية دولتان كبيرتان ومؤثرتان في المنطقة، ولم تقطع طهران العلاقات الدبلوماسية تماماً مع الرياض”.
وأشار وزير الخارجية الإيراني إلى أنّ “هناك تقدّماً في المحادثات الأخيرة بين بلاده والسعودية”، معلناً ترحيبه بـ”عودة العلاقات الثنائية المشتركة إلى وضعها الطبيعي”.
بدوره، قال وزير الخارجية السعودي خلال مشاركته في أعمال منتدى “دافوس” العالمي: “في المملكة ودول التعاون، نركز على مستقبل مبني على الأمن والتعاون، وأيدينا مفتوحة لإيران وجميع الدول”.
هذا وأعلن عضو لجنة الأمن القومي والسياسة الخارجية في مجلس الشورى الإسلامي، جواد كريمي قدوسي، أنّ وزير الخارجية الإيراني، حسين أمير عبد اللهيان، سيلتقي نظيره السعودي فيصل بن فرحان آل سعود، في العاصمة العراقية بغداد قريباً.
وفي ـ23 نيسان/أبريل الفائت، كشفت وكالة “نور نيوز” الإيرانية،عن انعقاد الجولة الخامسة من المباحثات بين كبار مندوبي إيران والسعودية في العراق، مؤكدة أنّ”مسؤولي البلديْن رسموا رؤية أكثر وضوحاً لاستئناف العلاقات بين إيران والسعودية”.
وبعد انعقادها، أشاد المتحدث باسم لجنة الأمن القومي والسياسة الخارجية في مجلس الشورى الإيراني، محمود عباس زاده مشكيني، بجولة الحوار، ووصفها بـ”الإيجابية والبنّاءة جداً”، معقّباً بأنه “إذا تمتّعت الدول المهمة، كإيران والسعودية وتركيا، بعلاقات جيدة (فيما بينها)، يمكن أن تتحول منطقة غربي آسيا إلى كتلة قوّية
