The spiritual leadership of the Druze community urges the guarteeing states of the ceasefire agreement to hold on to their promises “stopping this attack and impose a direct international protection for the Druze in Syria”.

In a statement on issued on Saturday the spiritual leadership of the Druze community led by aš-Šayh Ḥikmat al-Hiğrī urged the guaranteeing states of the ceasefire agreement to hold on to their promises “stopping this attack and imposing a direct international protection for the Druze in Syria”.
Al-Hiğrī believed that “regrettably and shamefully the other side is not holding to ceasefire and the attacking gangs continue to commit crimes all to see”.
The Syrian presidential office had announced on Saturday an immediate and total ceasefire in as-Suwaydā’, calling upon all sides to totally adhere to the ceasefire decree and stop all fighting operations to protect the unity of Syria and preserve the lives of its people.
However, the ceasefire has witnessed multiple violations, as the Syrian Observer for Human Rights had reported on Saturday that the armed groups launched continued attacks from multiple directions towards the city of as-Suwaydā’.
According to the Syrian Observer for Human Rights the aggressive clashes have restarted from the Western sides of the city on Saturday morning after a relative calm lasting for a few hours in accordance with the de-escalation agreement.

ناشدت الرئاسة الروحية لطائفة الموحّدين الدروز، برئاسة الشيخ حكمت الهجري، في بيان. اليوم السبت، الدول الضامنة لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار الإيفاء بتعهّداتها في “وقف هذه الهجمة، وفرض. حماية دولية مباشرة لدروز سوريا”.
واعتبر الهجري أنه “من المؤسف والمعيب عدم التزام الطرف الآخر بوقف إطلاق. النار، واستمرار العصابات المهاجمة القيام بجرائم يندى لها الجبين”.
وكانت الرئاسة السورية قد أعلنت، اليوم، وقفاً فورياً وشاملاً لإطلاق النار في السويداء، داعيةً كل. الأطراف إلى الالتزام الكامل بالقرار ووقف كلّ الأعمال القتالية حفاظاً على وحدة سوريا وسلامة شعبها.
لكنّ وقف إطلاق النار شهد خروقات عديدة، حيث أفاد المرصد السوري لحقوق الانسان، اليوم، بشن. مجموعات مسلحة هجمات متواصلة، من عدة محاور، باتجاه مدينة السويداء.
ووفقاً لمصادر المرصد السوري فقد تجدّدت الاشتباكات العنيفة من الجهة الغربية للمدينة صباح. اليوم، بعد هدوء نسبي استمر لبضع ساعات، تطبيقاً لاتفاق التهدئة
