Spiritual leader of the Druze religion in Syria Ḥikmat al-Hiğrī talks to the American media about the relations with Damascus and conforms that the current talks are on a way that shows difficulties reaching an agreement.

Spiritual leader of the Druze religion in Syria Ḥikmat al-Hiğrī confirms that “there is no agreement between us and the government in Damascus”, pointing out that the fighters of as-Suwaydā’ are ready to fight and block the government forces, if the situation calls for it”.
Within the statements to the American National Radio NPR, al-Hiğrī explained that “the current talks with the government in Damascus are going in a way that shows difficulty reaching an agreement”, adding that “the armed terrorists factions now consider themselves the administration in Damascus, which is unacceptable on the Syrian and the international level”.
Al-Hiğrī confirmed that the Druze forces keeping the security in as-Suwaydā’ “will remain such way” and will continue to control over the borders of the province with the areas that are under the control of the Syrian government, pointing out that the “Druze forces “collect fighters and lay out plans to block the government forces if the matter calls for it”.
Al-Hiğrī underlined that “we don’t want the interfere of anyone from abroad, as this stage is a transitional and dangerous one”. He confirmed that “spilling blood always leads to more blood and we refuse this sectarianism. We want to build a secular state”.
Earlier al-Hiğrī had criticized the behavior of the temporary Syrian administration, confirming that the constitution that had been announced recently was issued by a committee of “one and the same color”, “paving the way for one person to hold absolute power, which is creating slavery, instead of building a democratic system”.
Al-Hiğrī confirmed his rejection to the present constitutional announcement, demanding the correction of the path in every level and announcing a sane constitution founding a democratic system based on participation, reflecting the will of every community of the nation.

أكد شيخ عقل طائفة الموحّدين الدروز في سوريا، حكمت الهجري، إنه “لا يوجد توافق. بيننا وبين حكومة دمشق”، مشيراً إلى أن مقاتلي السويداء مستعدّون للقتال وصدّ القوات الحكومية إذا لزم الأمر.
وفي تصريحات للإذاعة الوطنية الأميركية “NPR“، أوضح الهجري أن “المحادثات مع حكومة دمشق مستمرة بطريقة تُظهر صعوبة. التوصّل إلى اتفاق”، مضيفاً أن “الفصائل الإرهابية المسلحة تعتبر نفسها الآن مسؤولة. عن الإدارة في دمشق، وهذا غير مقبول على المستوى السوري والدولي”.
وأكد الهجري أنّ القوات الدرزية التي حافظت على الأمن في السويداء “ستبقى. على حالها”، وستواصل السيطرة على حدود المحافظة مع الأراضي الخاضعة لسيطرة الحكومة السورية، مشيراً إلى أنّ القوات. الدرزية “تجمع مقاتلين وتضع خططاً لصد قوات الحكومة إذا لزم الأمر”.
وشدّد الهجري على أنه “لا نريد تدخّل أحد من الخارج، لأنّ هذه مرحلة. انتقالية وخطيرة”، مؤكداً أنّ “إراقة الدماء تُفضي دائماً إلى مزيد من سفك الدماء، ونحن نرفض هذه الطائفية، ونريد بناء دولة مدنية”.
وفي وقت سابق، انتقد الهجري، سلوك الإدارة السورية الموقتة، مؤكداً أنّ الدستور الذي. أُعلن مؤخراً، صدر عن لجنة من “اللون الواحد نفسه”، “ممهّداً الطريق لشخص واحد يمتلك صلاحيات مطلقة، الأمر. الذي يرسّخ الاستبداد بدلاً من بناء نظام ديمقراطي”.
وأكد الهجري رفضه الإعلان الدستوري الحالي، مطالباً بتصحيح المسارات، في كلّ. المستويات، وبإعلان دستوري سليم يؤسس نظاماً ديمقراطياً تشاركياً، يعكس إرادة جميع أطياف الوطن
