After he handed in a request to the president of the state to dissolve the parliament and hold early elections the Pakistani Minister of Information announces the dissolution of Prime Minister ‘Imrān Hān’s government and the Pakistani President agreed to Hān’s request to dissolve the parliament.
The Pakistani Minister of Information announces the dissolution of Prime Minister ‘Imrān Hān’s government, pointing out that Hān will continue with his duties.
Pakistani President ‘Ārif ‘Alawī agreed to dissolve the National Assembly (the parliament) after canceling the vote, which was supposed to be held on Sunday about revoking confidence from Prime Minister ‘Imrān Hān.
At the same time, the Pakistani Army said “we have nothing to do with what is happening in the political field”.
Earlier today Pakistani Prime Minister ‘Imrān Hān announced that he handed in a request to the president of the state to dissolve the parliament and hold early elections. Hān considered the refusal of the parliament to vote in favor of revoking trust [from him] as “the failure of the foreign conspiracy”.
The Pakistani Prime Minister said: “We praise the Pakistanis for the parliament refused to vote in favor of revoking trust and the foreign conspiracy failed against me and against the country. I advised the president to dissolve the parliament and hold early elections and the citizens shall be ready for the elections”.
This comes after the Deputy Speaker of the Pakistani Parliament refused to vote on the no-confidence against the Prime Minister within the parliament. According to the correspondent of al-Mayadeen, the no-confidence vote has been postponed to 25 this month.
The Deputy Speaker of the Pakistani Parliament believed that the vote to revoke confidence from ‘Imrān Hān “is an unlawful and unconstitutional step”.
Pakistani Prime Minister ‘Imrān Hān said on Saturday that the move to depose him is an attempt to change the system with the support of the United States.
Tightened security arrangements in Islamabad
Following all this, the “GEO” television channel added that the Pakistani authorities have tightened the security arrangements today in the capital Islamabad.
The channel added that the local administration decided to enact “section 144” in the capital with the aim to “prevent any wrong events to occur on a decisive day”, explaining that the Deputy Major of Islamabad confirmed in a statement that the “red positions” (including the governmental and military buildings and also the residences of the President and the Prime Minister) were cordoned by barbed wire while also the security measures, in general, were also strengthened in the capital.
The local administration warned against all forms of gatherings within and outside the “red positions” a circle of half a kilometer diameter.

أعلن وزير الإعلام الباكستاني حلّ حكومة رئيس الوزراء عمران خان، مشيراً إلى أنّ خان سيواصل مسؤولياته.
ووافق الرئيس الباكستاني عارف علوي على حل الجمعية الوطنية (البرلمان) بعد إلغاء التصويت الذي كان من المتوقع أن يجري فيها اليوم الأحد على سحب الثقة عن رئيس الوزراء عمران خان.
بالتزامن، قال الجيش الباكستاني “لا علاقة لنا بما يحدث على الساحة السياسية”.
وفي وقت سابق من اليوم، أعلن رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني عمران خان تقديمه طلباً لرئيس الجمهورية بحلّ البرلمان وإجراء انتخابات مبكرة. وعدّ خان رفض البرلمان التصويت على سحب الثقة “فشلاً للمؤامرة الخارجية”.
وقال رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني “نبارك للباكستانيين رفض البرلمان التصويت على سحب الثقة وفشل المؤامرة الخارجية ضدي وضد البلاد لقد أرسلت النصيحة إلى الرئيس لحل البرلمان واجراء انتخابات مبكرة وعلى المواطنين الاستعداد للانتخابات”.
ويأتي ذلك بعدما رفض نائب رئيس البرلمان الباكستاني التصويت على سحب الثقة من رئيس الوزراء داخل البرلمان. ووفق مراسل الميادين، تمّ تأجيل جلسة سحب الثقة إلى 25 من الشهر الحالي.
واعتبر نائب رئيس البرلمان الباكستاني إنّ التصويت على سحب الثقة من عمران خان “تحرك غير قانوني ومخالف للدستور”.
وكان رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني عمران خان قال، أمس السبت، إنّ التحرك لعزله هو محاولة لتغيير النظام بدعم من الولايات المتحدة.
تشديد الإجراءات الأمنية في إسلام أباد
في غضون ذلك أفادت قناة “GEO” التلفزيونية بأن السلطات الباكستانية شددت الإجراءات الأمنية في العاصمة إسلام أباد اليوم.
وذكرت القناة أن الإدارة المحلية قررت تفعيل “البند رقم 144” في العاصمة بغية “لمنع وقوع أي حوادث سيئة في اليوم الحاسم”، موضحةً أنّ نائب عمدة إسلام آباد أكّد في بيان أن “المنطقة الحمراء” (التي تضم المباني الحكومية والعسكرية وكذلك مقر إقامة رئيس الدولة ورئيس الوزراء) تم تسييجها بالأسلاك الشائكة، علاوة على تعزيز الإجراءات الأمنية في العاصمة عموماً.
وحظرت الإدارة المحلية جميع أنواع التجمعات في مناطق داخل وخارج “المنطقة الحمراء”، في دائرة نصف قطرها كيلومتر واحد
