The Turkish Counter-terror Police takes former Dā‘iš commander Abū Taqiyya aš-Šāmī and three others into custody in the region of Bursa in the Northwest of Turkey.
The Turkish Counter-Terror police the Syrian Abū Taqiyya aš-Šāmī, a former commander in Dā‘iš organization, who worked on repairing gas installations since his departure from the organization in Syria, according what the Anadolu News Agency reported.
The News Agency mentions that aš-Šāmī, who is more than 50 years old was arrested yesterday, Monday on a construction site in the region of Bursa in Northwest of Turkey.
The Turkish media aired a video in which appears the suspect with his beard shaved off, wearing work pants stained with plaster, a black cap and two policeman arrests him with force.
Anadolu News Agency described aš-Šāmī as an executioner and former big commander in Dā‘iš in the area of Dayr az-Zūr in Eastern Syria.
Abū Taqiyya aš-Šāmī appeared in an old video shared years ago in the social media, when he was executing a civilian by firing the victim on the head. At that time his beard was long and stiff.
After his arrest the Turkish Counter-Terror Police managed to arrest three others suspected that they fought for Dā‘iš.
After it suffered several attacks in the year of 2015 Ankara increased the arrest operations and the dismantling of terrorist cells, and sent the arrested personnel from its lands to the countries of origin.

شرطة مكافحة الإرهاب التركية تلقي القبض على القيادي السابق في داعش أبو تقية الشامي، وثلاثة آخرين في منطقة بورصة في شمال غرب تركيا
أوقفت شرطة مكافحة الإرهاب التركية السوري أبو تقية الشامي، القيادي السابق في تنظيم داعش الذي يعمل في تصليح منشآت الغاز في تركيا منذ مغادرته التنظيم في سوريا، وفق ما أفادت به وكالة الأناضول التركية
وذكرت الوكالة أن الشامي الذي يبلغ من العمر 50 عاماً، أوقف أمس الإثنين في موقع بناء في منطقة بورصة في شمال غرب تركيا
ونشرت وسائل الإعلام التركية مقطع فيديو يظهر فيه المشتبه به حليق الذقن، ويرتدي سروال عمل مغطى بالجص، وقبعة سوداء، في ما كان يجري اقتياده بقوة من جانب شرطيين إثنين
ووصفت وكالة الأناضول الشامي بأنه جلّاد وقيادي كبير سابق في داعش بمنطقة دير الزور في شرق سوريا
وكان أبو تقية الشامي قد ظهر في فيديو قديم نشر قبل سنوات على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي وهو يعدم مدنياً بإطلاق رصاصة في مؤخرة رأسه، وكانت حينها لحيته طويلة وكثيفة
وبعد توقيفه، تمكنت شرطة مكافحة الإرهاب التركية من توقيف ثلاثة آخرين يشتبه بأنهم قاتلوا مع داعش
وبعد تعرضها لعدة هجمات في عام 2015، كثّفت أنقرة من عمليات التوقيف وتفكيك الخلايا الإرهابية، وعملت على إرسال الموقوفين في أراضيها إلى البلدان المتحدرين منها
