The reporter of al-Mayadeen reports that the Lebanese government announced its resignation. This resignation comes in the result of the latest developments the country witnesses. The last of which was the explosion that happened in Beirut port.
The reporter of al-Mayadeen reported that the Lebanese government announced its resignation today, on Monday. This comes after a number of resignations by several ministers.
It was mentioned that Mīšāl ‘Awn Lebanese President will not convey a parliamentary consultation. Instead, he will give space for conversations.
Minister of Health Ḥamad Ḥasan [Ḥizb Allah] said that Prime Minister Ḥassān Diyāb will announce later today the resignation of the government after the explosion that devastated the port of Beirut and demolished several districts.
It is scheduled that Diyāb will hold a speech at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
Earlier today the Lebanese government decided to hold a meeting to address the matter of the explosion of the port of Beirut, based on the motion by Lebanese Minister of Justice, Mary Claude Nağm.
The reporter of al-Mayadeen said that Lebanese Minister of Justice hasn’t announced her resignation officially, and took part in the meeting.
The Lebanese Ministerial Council held a meeting after it ended its hearing in the governmental palace. According to what the reporter of al-Mayadeen reported the exceptions were Minister of Telecommunications Manāl ‘Abd aṣ-Ṣamad and Minister of Environment Damīānūs Qaṭṭār, who announced their resignations, though haven’t given their resignations formally.
The Minister of Justice announced her resignation from the government “because of the Beirut explosion and the [following] protests”, following the Minister of Environment, who announced his resignation from the government yesterday justifying his decision for “the loss of many chances by the government, which were available for reforms”.
The Minister of Telecommunications also announced his resignation, as the first member of the Council of Ministers leaving his office after the explosion which happened in Beirut port.
Before that Foreign Minister Nāṣif Ḥittī gave his resignation to the Prime Minister. Following this in his last meeting with the President the decree of his resignation and the appointment of Šarbil Wahba replacing him was signed.

مراسل الميادين يفيد بأن الحكومة اللبنانية أعلنت استقالتها. وتأتي هذه الاستقالة على خلفية التطورات الأخيرة التي شهدتها البلاد وكان آخرها الانفجار الذي وقع في مرفأ بيروت
أفاد مراسل الميادين بأنّ الحكومة اللبنانية أعلنت استقالتها، اليوم الاثنين، وذلك بعد عدّة استقالات قدمها عدد من الوزراء
وذكر أنّ الرئيس اللبناني ميشال عون لن يدعو اليوم للاستشارات النيابية بشأن الحكومة بل سيعطي مهلة للاتصالات
وقال وزير الصحة اللبناني حمد حسن لوكالة “رويترز” إن رئيس الحكومة حسان دياب سيعلن في وقت لاحق اليوم استقالة الحكومة بعد الانفجار الذي ضرب مرفأ بيروت الأسبوع الماضي ودمر أحياء فيها
ومن المقرر أن يلقي دياب خطاباً عند السابعة والنصف من مساء اليوم
وفي وقت سابق اليوم، قرر مجلس الوزراء اللبناني بالإجماع إحالة قضية انفجار مرفأ بيروت على المجلس العدلي، بناء على اقتراح وزيرة العدل اللبنانية، ماري كلود نجم
وقال مراسل الميادين إن وزيرة العدل اللبنانية لم تقدم استقالتها رسمياً، وشاركت في الجلسة
وانعقدت جلسة مجلس الوزراء اللبناني بعد اكتمال النصاب في السراي الحكومي، باستثناء وزيرة الإعلام منال عبد الصمد، ووزير البيئة دميانوس قطار، الذين أعلنا استقالتهما ولم يقدموها رسمياً، بحسب ما أفاد مراسل الميادين
وأعلنت وزيرة العدل استقالتها من الحكومة “بسبب انفجار بيروت والاحتجاجات”، أسوة بوزير البيئة الذي أعلن أمساستقالته من الحكومة، مرجعاً قراره لـ”إضاعة الحكومة الكثير من الفرص التي كانت متاحة للإصلاح
كما أعلنت وزيرة الإعلام استقالتها أيضاً، كأول عضو في مجلس الوزراء يغادر منصبه، بعد الانفجار الذي طال مرفأ بيروت
وقبل ذلك، قدّم وزير الخارجية اللبناني ناصيف حتّي، استقالته لرئيس الحكومة، تبعه اجتماع للأخير برئيس الجمهورية، تخلله توقيع لمرسومي استقالة حتي وتعيين شربل وهبة خلفاً له
