The statements held by John Kirby, the official spokesman of the American Department of Defense (Pentagon) made many experts and politicians arrive at the final results about the Syria crisis. In this article ‘Abd al-Bārī ‘Aṭwān reveals the strategic dimensions of what the Pentagon spokesman says.

The surprising statement by the spokesman of the American Defense Department (Pentagon) John Kirby, in which he confirmed that the American forces presently in Syria are not responsible anymore for the defense of the oil wells and that their sole duty is to fight against the “Dā‘iš” organization shows that the new Democrat administration of Joe Biden now deals with the Axis of Resistance as one block and wants to wants to rid itself from most of the policies of the Trump administration in Western Asia. Not a gift for it, but admitting their failure and the dangers of going along with them.
What supports this deduction is that the new American State Secretary Antony Blinken refrained from supporting the recognition of the Trump administration for “Israel’s” sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Ğūlān Heights, though he acknowledged their importance for the security of “Israel”. His administration blocked all the arms and ammunition selling deals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and froze the deal to sell “F-35” warplanes to the Emirates in an attempt to stop the war in Yemen, which has turned into a humanitarian catastrophe by its opinion”.
All the policies, which the Trump administration we’re going along the interests of the Israeli occupation starting from the incorporation of the occupied Jerusalem and Ğūlān to stealing the oil wealth and escalating the war in Syria, arriving at the dangerous measures against Iran. The common point in all of these is the failure and the erosion of the American global leadership. This is from what the Biden administration gradually steps back during the first ten days of the takeover.
Syria as a state and leadership resisted all these American policies and its bloody destructive wars. Were it not for these sacrifices and for this Syrian steadfastness why would President Biden try to wash his hands from most of the policies of his predecessor? Why stepping back from defending the oil wells, which fell under the control of the separatist Syrian Democratic Forces (Qasad), which manage the extraction and delivers it to Israeli companies?
These new American steps came after information came out in the occupied Northeast Syria, where there are 900 American soldiers that the Syrian Arab tribes choose to confront this American supremacy and took actions of brave resistance against it and the Syrian Democratic Forces. What is the insistence on combatting “Dā‘iš” if not dust thrown in the eyes? We should not exclude that the next step of the Biden administration shall be the withdrawal of the American forces later on to evade the losses.
Syria paid a heavy price for its resistance with the blood of its people and its forces defending its territorial and Arabic and Islamic identity. It will return strong and proud to all of its people without bias in the context of coexistence, justice, and solidarity, as it always has been during the ages. What makes the Biden administration step back from the policies of its predecessor, which alone costed the American budget more than $90 billion alone at the end of the troublesome years.
The Kurdish brothers in Northeast Syria, who were created for the thousandth time by the false American-Israeli promises were thrown into the arms of the partition plans and stabbed their home country, their government and their people in the back will be the biggest losers as usual, because unfortunately, they will be the last ones to learn from the lessons of history. In spite of this, we can conclude that the arms of Mother Syria will be open for them, in spite of some voices, which oppose this. There are many reasons, which justify its bitterness and pain, and its sufferings by their treachery.
The following days will hold many surprises, and the indication by the statement suggest that America, its allies, and agents are in a downturn. The magic word is the resistance and the adamancy to the ideology of “strategic patience”…

التّصريحات التي ادلى بها جون كيربي، المُتحدّث الرسمي باسم وزارة الدفاع الأمريكيّة (البنتاغون)، جعلت الكثير من الخبراء والسياسيين يصلون الى نتائج حاسمة بخصوص الازمة السورية وفي هذه المقالة يكشف عبد الباري عطوان عن الابعاد الاستراتيجية لكلام المتحدث باسم البنتاغون
التّصريح المُفاجِئ الذي ورد على لِسان جون كيربي، المُتحدّث الرسمي باسم وزارة الدفاع الأمريكيّة (البنتاغون)، وأكّد فيه أنّ القوّات الأمريكيّة الموجودة في سورية لم تَعُد مسؤولةً عن حِماية آبار النفط، وأنّ واجبها الأوحد هو مُكافحة تنظيم “داعش”، يُؤكّد أنّ إدارة جو بايدن الديمقراطيّة الجديدة باتت تتعاطى مع محور المُقاومة ككتلة واحدة، وتُريد التخلّص من مُعظم سِياسات إدارة ترامب في غرب آسيا، ليس كرمًا منها، وإنّما اعتِرافًا بفشلها وخُطورة الاستِمرار فيها
وما يُؤكّد هذا الاستِنتاج امتناع أنتوني بلينكن وزير الخارجيّة الأمريكي الجديد، عن تأييد اعتِراف إدارة ترامب بسِيادة “إسرائيل” على هضبة الجولان السّوري المحتلّة رُغم اعتِرافه بأهميّتها بالنّسبة إلى أمن “إسرائيل”، ووقف إدارته لجميع صفقات بيع الأسلحة والذّخائر إلى المملكة العربيّة السعوديّة، وتجميد صفقة بيع طائِرات “إف 35” للإمارات في إطار مساعيها لوقف الحرب في اليمن التي تحوّلت إلى كارثةٍ إنسانيّةٍ، حسب رأيها
جميع السّياسات التي أقدمت عليها إدارة الرئيس ترامب كانت تَصُب في مصلحة الاحتِلال الإسرائيلي، ابتداءً من ضمّ القدس المحتلّة والجولان، ومُرورًا بنهب الثّروات النفطيّة وتصعيد الحرب في سورية، وانتهاءً باجرءات الحظر ضد إيران، والقاسم المُشترك بينها جميعًا هو الفشل، وانهِيار القِيادة العالميّة الأمريكيّة، وهذا ما يُفَسِّر التّراجع التّدريجي لإدارة بايدن عنها، وفي الأيّام العشرة الأولى من تولّيها الحُكم
سورية الدّولة والقيادة قاومت جميع هذه السّياسات الأمريكيّة، وحُروبها التدميريّة الدمويّة، ولولا هذه التّضحيات، وهذا الصّمود السّوري، لما حاول الرئيس بايدن غسل يديه من مُعظم سياسات سلفه، والتّراجع عن حِماية آبار النّفط التي تقع تحت سيطرة قوّات سورية الديمقراطيّة الانفصاليّة (قسد) وتُدير عمليّات الإنتاج والتّنقيب فيها شركات إسرائيليّة
هذه الخطوة الأمريكيّة الجديدة جاءت بعد تواتر المعلومات من شِمال شرق سورية المُحتل، حيث يتواجد 900 جندي أمريكي، حول استِنفار العشائر العربيّة السوريّة للتّصدّي لهذه الهيمنة الأمريكيّة وتنفيذ أعمال مُقاوَمة فدائيّة ضدّها، وقوّات سورية الديمقراطيّة، وما الحديث عن التّركيز على مُقاومة “داعش” إلا ذرّ الرّماد في العُيون، ولا نَستبعِد أن يكون قرار إدارة بايدن المُقبل هو سحب القوّات الأمريكيّة لاحقًا تَجَنُّبًا للخسائر
سورية دفعت ثمن الصّمود غاليًا من دماء أبنائها وقُوتهم، حِفاظًا على وحدتها الترابيّة وهُويّتها العربيّة والإسلاميّة، وستعود قويّةً شامخةً لكُلّ أبنائها دون أيّ تمييز وفي إطار التّعايش والعدالة والتّسامح، مثلما كانت دائمًا على مرّ العُصور، وما تراجع بايدن عن سياسات سلفه التي كلّفت الخزانة الأمريكيّة وحدها أكثر من 90 مِليار دولار إلا البِدايات فقط لقُرب نِهاية السّنوات العِجاف
الأشقّاء الأكراد في شِمال سرق سورية الذين انخدعوا للمرّة الألف بالوعود الأمريكيّة الإسرائيليّة الكاذبة، ارتموا في أحضان مُخطّطات التّقسيم وطعنوا بلدهم الأُم وحُكومتها وشعبها في الظّهر، سيكونون الخاسر الأكبر كالعادة، لأنّهم آخِر من يستوعب دُروس التّاريخ للأسف، ورُغم ذلك نَجزِم بأنّ حُضن سورية الأُم سيكون مفتوحًا لَهُم، رُغم بعض الأصوات التي تُعارِض ذلك، وتملك الكثير من الأسباب التي تُبَرِّر مرارتها وألمها، ومُعاناتها من هذه الطّعنة المسمومة
الأيّام المُقبلة ستكون حافلةً بالمُفاجآت، والمُؤشِّر البياني لأمريكا وحُلفائها وعُملائها في هُبوطٍ، وكلمة السّر هي الصّمود والتَّمسُّك بنظريّة “الصّبر الاستراتيجي”.. والأيّام بيننا
