The correspondent of al-Mayadeen in Damascus reports the martyrdom of the Commander of the Jerusalem Forces in Lebanon and Syria Brigadier General Moḥammad Reẓā Zāhedī in the Israeli aggression that targeted the building of the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

The correspondent of al-Mayadeen in Damascus reports the martyrdom of the Commander of the Jerusalem Forces in Lebanon and Syria Brigadier General Moḥammad Reẓā Zāhedī in the Israeli aggression that targeted the building of the Iranian consulate in Damascus on Monday.

The correspondent of al-Mayadeen confirmed that in the proximity of the Iranian Consulate in Damascus 7 people fell martyrs and a number of others got injured by the preliminary results of the Israeli aggressions, pointing out that amongst the martyrs were a number of Iranian advisers.

The correspondent said that the search and rescue operations are ongoing at the site of the Iranian consulate that has been destroyed completely.

A Syrian military source had announced earlier an Israeli areal aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan targeting the building of the Iranian Consulate in Damascus and confirmed that the Syrian air defense batteries confronted the enemy missiles and shot down some of them.

The source added that the Israeli aggression has led to the complete destruction of the Iranian Consulate building and to the martyrdom, or injury of all those who were inside of it.

Following this the correspondent of al-Mayadeen reported that Syrian Foreign Minister Fayṣal al-Miqdād with the Governor of Damascus visited the building of the Iranian embassy and the site that had been targeted by the Israeli aggression. He also held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān condemning the Israeli aggression that had targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

In a statement to al-Mayadeen al-Miqdād said that “targeting the embassy is forbidden in the international law and all members of the United Nations singed this”.

He added: “We once again confirm that Israeli cannot affect the Syrian-Iranian relations”.

Iranian ambassador in Damascus Ḥosseyn Akbarī in a conversation with al-Mayadeen said that the Zionist enemy does not respect any international norm, confirming the position of Iran standing by the people of the resistance and does not hesitate to condemn this Entity as criminal.

He continued that the attacks show the truth about the Entity that does not recognize the international law and does everything against humanity.

In this context the Iranian Foreign Minister said that Netanyahu has completely lost his mental composure by the continuous setbacks in Gaza and the failure to achieve the Zionist goals.

He confirmed that the aggression breaches all diplomatic treaties and the UN Charter holding the Entity responsible for the consequences of this step. Thus he demanded the international community to take definite steps towards the Israeli crimes.

أفادت مراسلة الميادين في دمشق باستشهاد قائد قوة القدس في لبنان وسوريا، العميد محمد رضا. زاهدي، في العدوان الإسرائيلي الذي استهدف القنصلية الإيرانية في دمشق، اليوم الاثنين.

وأكد مراسل الميادين في محيط القنصلية الإيرانية في دمشق استشهاد 7 أشخاص وإصابة عدد. من الجرحى، في حصيلة أولية للعدوان الإسرائيلي، لافتاً إلى بين الشهداء عدداً من المستشارين الإيرانيين

وقال مراسلنا إنّ عمليات البحث والإنقاذ جارية في موقع القنصلية الإيرانية، الذي تمّ تدميره، بصورة كاملة.

وأعلن مصدر عسكري سوري، في وقت سابق، أنّ عدواناً جوياً إسرائيلياً من اتجاه الجولان السوري. المحتل استهدف مبنى القنصلية الإيرانية في دمشق، وأكد أن وسائط الدفاع الجوي السورية تصّدت لصواريخ العدوان وأسقطت بعضها.

وأضاف المصدر أنّ العدوان الإسرائيلي أدى إلى تدمير مبنى القنصلية الإيرانية بكامله، واستشهاد وإصابة كل من في داخله

في غضون ذلك، أفادت مراسلة الميادين بأنّ وزير الخارجية السوري، فيصل المقداد، زار مع محافظ. دمشق مبنى السفارة الإيرانية، والموقع الذي استهدفه العدوان الإسرائيلي. كما أجرى اتصالاً هاتفياً مع نظيره الإيراني حسين أمير. عبد اللهيان أدان فيه العدوان الإسرائيلي الذي استهدف القنصلية الإيرانية في دمشق.

وقال المقداد في تصريح إلى الميادين إنّ “استهداف السفارة ممنوع في القانون الدولي وكل أعضاء الأمم المتحدة وقعوا على ذلك”.

وأضاف: “نؤكد مرة أخرى أنّ إسرائيل لا تستطيع أن تؤثر على العلاقات السورية – الإيرانية”.

السفير الإيراني في دمشق حسين أكبري وفي حديث إلى الميادين قال إنّ العدو الصهيوني. لا يحترم أي أعراف دولية، مؤكداً وقوف إيران إلى جانب الشعب المقاوم وأنها لا تخشى إجرام هذا الكيان.

وتابع أنّ الاعتداء يعكس حقيقة الكيان الذي لا يعترف بأي قوانين دولية ويقوم بكل شيء مناف للإنسانية.

وفي السياق، قال وزير الخارجية الإيراني إنّ نتنياهو فقد اتزانه العقلي تماماً بسبب الإخفاقات المتتالية. في غزة وفشله في تحقيق الأهداف الصهيونية.

وأكد أن هذا العدوان تجاوز لجميع الأعراف الدبلوماسية والمعاهدات الدولية، محملاً الكيان مسؤولية. عواقب هذه الخطوة، مطالباً المجتمع الدولي القيام بإجراءات حاسمة تجاه الجرائم الإسرائيلية
