The government of Hišām al-Mišīšī gained the confidence of the Tunisian National Assembly after the announcement of a number of parties willing to vote for him.
The government of Hišām al-Mišīsī got confidence from the Tunisian National Assembly and got 134 supporting votes against 67 representatives opposing it.
The open session opened in the presence of the assigned head of government and the suggested 28 members of his government.
Before the session the Movement of the People decided not to grant confidence to the government of Hišām al-Mišīsī, and also the Coalition of Dignity (I’tilāf al-Karāma) announced in the National Assembly this refusal to grant support to the new government, while the senate of the an-Nahḍa Movement decided to support it.
On his own terms president of the Qalb Tūnis Party Nabīl al-Qaruwī revealed that President Qays Sa‘īd asked his party and the an-Nahḍa Movement to fail the government of al-Mišīsī, but instead they the Qalb Tūnis Party announced that it grants confidence to the new government.
On its own side, the mentioned party said that “it has been decided towards granting support for the new government of Hišām al-Mišīsī, expressing that “it has reservations about a number of key ministries”.
It should be noted that appointment of al-Mišīsī to form a government came after Ilyās al-Fahfāh, who submitted his resignation to President Qays Sa‘īd on 15 July.

نالت حكومة هشام المشيشي ثقة مجلس نواب الشعب التونسي وحصلت على تأييد 134 نائباً مقابل اعتراض 67 نائباً
وكانت الجلسة العامة انطلقت بحضور رئيس الحكومة المكلف وأعضاء الحكومة المقترحين الـ 28
وقبل الجسلة، قررت حركة الشعب عدم منح الثقة لحكومة هشام المشيشي، كما أعلن ائتلاف الكرامة في مجلس نواب الشعب رفضه منح الثقة للحكومة الجديدة فيما قرّر مجلس شورى حركة النهضة منحها الثقة
بدوره كشف رئيس حزب قلب تونِس نبيل القروي أن رئيس الجمهورية قيس سعيّد طلب من حزبه ومن حركة النهضة اسقاط حكومة المشيشي إلا أنه أعلن عزم حزب قلب تونس على منح الثقة للحكومة الجديدة
من جهته، قال الحزب المذكور، إنه “حسم أمره في اتجاه منح الثّقة لحكومة هشام المشّيشي الجديدة، مبدياً تحفظه “على عدد من وزارات السّيادة
يذكر أن تكليف المشيشي بتشكيل الحكومة جاء خلفاً لإلياس الفخفاخ الذي قدم استقالته للرئيس قيس سعيد في 15 تموز/ يوليو الماضي
