Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrives in Kabul today to meet officials of the “Ṭālebān” Movement and study the ways of help to Afghanistan.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrives in Kabul today, on Thursday, while a week ago Beijing was invited for a meeting to study the ways to help Afghanistan.
An official in the Afghan government Aḥmad Yāsīn wrote in a post on Twitter that “the Chinese Foreign Minister arrived in Kabul to meet officials in the Islamic Emirate”.
Chinese Foreign Minister arrived in Kabul coming from Islamabad, where he attended a meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Conference lasting for two days.
China and Afghanistan share a little common border on some 76 kilometers in extreme high altitudes, yet Chinese fears for a long time that its neighbor becomes a hotbed for Uyghur separatists.
Before the “Ṭālebān” Movement took power in 15 August 2021 Beijing tried to hold on to ties with the movement at a time, when the American and NATO forces withdrew from Afghanistan.
At the beginning of February this year China and Pakistan called upon the international community to “help the Afghan people in an urgent manner” and prevent “a humanitarian tragedy in Afghanistan”.
The Pakistani ambassador in Afghanistan Manṣūr Aḥmad Hān revealed last September that his country is studying was to incorporate Afghanistan into the China-Pakistan economic corridor infrastructural project, thus confirming that “connecting the region is an important factor”.
Before that the official spokesman of the “Ṭālebān” Movement Dabīḥ Allah Muğāhid announced that Kabul supports the Belt and Roads Chinese initiative and “wishes to to join the economic corridor project”.
According to the U.N. the “Ṭālebān” took over Afghanistan the international community froze the aids and financial sources reaching up to billions of dollars at a time, when the country is facing “the worst humanitarian urgencies in the world”, because of the food, fuel and monetary crises.

وزير الخارجية الصيني وانغ يي يصل إلى كابول اليوم للقاء مسؤولي حركة “طالبان” والبحث في سبل مساعدة أفغانستان
وصل وزير الخارجية الصيني وانغ يي إلى كابول، اليوم الخميس، وذلك قبل أسبوع من استضافة بكين لقاء للبحث في سبل مساعدة أفغانستان.
وكتب المسؤول في الحكومة الأفغانية أحمد ياسير، في تغريدة في “تويتر”، أنّ “وزير الخارجية الصيني وصل إلى كابول للقاء مسؤولين من الإمارة الإسلامية”.
ووصل وزير الخارجية الصيني إلى كابول قادماً من إسلام أباد، حيث شارك في اجتماع لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي على مدى يومين.
وتتشارك الصين مع أفغانستان جزءاً صغيراً من حدودها يمتدّ نحو 76 كيلومتراً على علو مرتفع جداً، إلا أنّ بكين تخشى منذ وقت طويل أن تصبح جارتها قاعدة للانفصاليين الإيغور.
وقبل سيطرة حركة “طالبان” على الحكم في 15 آب/أغسطس 2021، سعت بكين للحفاظ على روابطها مع الحركة، في وقت كانت القوات الأميركية وقوات حلف شمال الأطلسي “الناتو” تنسحب من أفغانستان.
ومطلع شهر شباط/فبراير الماضي، دعت الصين وباكستان المجتمع الدولي إلى “مساعدة الشعب الأفغاني بصورة عاجلة”، وتجنّب “كارثة إنسانية في أفغانستان”.
وكشف السفير الباكستاني لدى أفغانستان منصور أحمد خان، في أيلول/سبتمبر الماضي، أنَّ بلاده بحثت انضمام أفغانستان إلى مشروع البنية التحتية للممر الاقتصادي الصيني-الباكستاني، مؤكِّداً أنّ “ترابط المنطقة عنصر مهم”.
وعقب ذلك، أعلن المتحدث باسم حركة “طالبان”، ذبيح الله مجاهد، أنّ كابول تؤيد مبادرة الحزام والطريق الصينية، و”ترغب في الانضمام إلى مشروع الممر الاقتصادي”.
ومنذ سيطرة “طالبان” على أفغانستان، جمّد المجتمع الدولي مساعدات وأصولاً مالية تقدّر بمليارات الدولارات، في وقت تواجه البلاد “أسوأ حالة طوارئ إنسانية في العالم”، بسبب أزمات الغذاء والوقود والنقد، وفق الأمم المتحدة
