Iranian Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān says upon arriving at Beirut that he continually councils with Lebanese officials about the bilateral ties and conforms the readiness of his country to extend the bridges of cooperation with Lebanon in various fields. Most prominent among these is the economic field.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān confirmed the readiness of Iran to extend the bridges of cooperation with Lebanon in various fields, thus including the areas of economy and trade.
In an immediate statement upon his arrival in Beirut today, on Thursday Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān said: “Roughly a month ago during a meeting with Prime Minister Nağīb Mīqātī at the Munich Forum I proposed him the readiness of Iran to contribute to building two power plants in Lebanon with the capacity of 1000 MW each, in addition to our readiness to cooperate in a number of other fields”.
He added: “Today we are in Beirut because the relations between the two countries are great and we are in a constant dialogue with the Lebanese officials about the bilateral relations and the regional and international developments”.
The Iranian Foreign Minister said that since his last visit which he held to Beirut until today “many changes happened in the region and around the world. Therefore it is necessary to hold more precise consultations with the respected officials in Lebanon about these”.
He added: “During this visit I bring a warm greeting from the Iranian people to the all beloved Lebanese people”.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān arrived today in Lebanon coming from the Syrian capital Damascus in an official visit to Lebanon lasting until tomorrow. During this he is about to meet President Mīšāl ‘Awn, Speaker of the Parliament Nabīh Barrī and Prime Minister Nağīb Mīqātī, in addition to certain meetings with political and party personalities.
This is the second visit for Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān to Lebanon since he took over the position of foreign minister, as he visited Beirut on 6 October 2021. Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān on that visit held negotiations with officials and prominent Lebanese party members. During these he discussed with them various matters linked to the bilateral ties and regional developments.

وزير الخارجية الإيراني حسين أمير عبد اللهيان يقول، فور وصوله إلى بيروت، إنه يتشاور بصورة مستمرة مع المسؤولين اللبنانيين بشأن العلاقات الثنائية، ويؤكّد استعداد بلاده لمد جسور التعاون مع لبنان في مختلف المجالات، وأبرزها القطاع الاقتصادي
أكّد وزير الخارجية الإيراني، حسين أمير عبد اللهيان، استعداد إيران من أجل مد جسور التعاون مع لبنان في مختلف المجالات، ولاسيما في المجالات الاقتصادية والتجارية.
وفي تصريح له فور وصوله إلى بيروت، الیوم الخميس، قال أمير عبد اللهيان: “منذ شهر تقريباً، خلال اللقاء مع رئيس الحكومة نجيب ميقاتي في منتدى ميونيخ، طرحت عليه استعداد إيران للمساهمة على بناء محطتين لتوليد الطاقة في لبنان بقوة ألف ميغاوات لكل محطة، بالإضافة الى استعدادنا للتعاون في عدد من المجالات الأخرى”.
وأضاف: “نحن اليوم في بيروت لأن العلاقات بين البلدين ممتازة، ونحن نتشاور بصورة مستمرة مع المسؤولين اللبنانيين بشأن العلاقات الثنائية والتطورات الإقليمية والدولية”.
وقال الوزير الإيراني إنه، منذ الزيارة الأخيرة التي أجراها لبيروت حتى اليوم، “حدثت تحوّلات كثيرة في المنطقة والعالم. لذا، من الضروري أن نُجري مشاورات أكثر دقة مع المسؤولين الأعزّاء في لبنان بشأنها”.
وأضاف أنه “خلال هذه الزيارة، يحمل سلاماً حاراً من الشعب الإيراني إلى كلّ الشعب اللبناني العزيز”.
ووصل وزير الخارجية الإيراني، حسين أمير عبد اللهيان، اليوم إلى بيروت، قادماً من العاصمة السورية دمشق، في زيارة رسميّة للبنان تستمر حتى يوم غد، يلتقي خلالها رئيس الجمهورية ميشال عون ورئيسَي مجلس النواب نبيه بري والحكومة نجيب ميقاتي، بالإضافة إلى لقاءات مع شخصيات سياسية وحزبية.
وهذه هي الزيارة الثانية لأمير عبد اللهيان للبنان بعد توليه حقيبة الخارجية في إيران، بحيث زار بيروت في الـ6 من تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2021. وأجرى أمير عبد اللهيان، في تلك الزيارة، لقاءات ومحادثات مع المسؤولين والشخصيات اللبنانية البارزة، بحث خلالها معهم في مختلف الموضوعات المرتبطة بالعلاقات الثنائية والتطورات الإقليمية
