Emir of Kuwait aš-Šayh Nawwāf al-Aḥmad al-Ğābir aṣ-Ṣabāḥ issues a royal decree by which reappointed aš-Šayh Aḥmad Nawwāf al-Aḥmad aṣ-Ṣabāḥ to the post of Prime Minister and tasked him to nominate the members of the new cabinet.
Emir of Kuwait aš-Šayh Nawwāf al-Aḥmad al-Ğābir aṣ-Ṣabāḥ issues a royal decree by which reappointed aš-Šayh Aḥmad Nawwāf al-Aḥmad aṣ-Ṣabāḥ to the post of Prime Minister and tasked him to nominate the members of the new cabinet.
On 2 October Emir of Kuwait aš-Šayh Nawwāf al-Aḥmad al-Ğābir aṣ-Ṣabāḥ accepted the resignation of the government led by aš-Šayh Aḥmad Nawwāf al-Aḥmad aṣ-Ṣabāḥ and tasked him to act as caretaker until the new government is formed, following the announcement of the results of the parliamentary elections.
On 28 September the Kuwaitis elected the new parliament after roughly two months that the previous parliament got dissolved because there was no understanding between legislative and executive powers.
The Kuwaiti National Assembly holds strong powers to account for the Prime Minister, and the Ministers and start a vote of no confidence.

وقَبِل أمير الكويت الشيخ نواف الأحمد الجابر الصباح، في 2 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، استقالة الحكومة برئاسة الشيخ أحمد نواف الأحمد الصباح، وكلفها تصريف الأعمال إلى حين تشكيل حكومة جديدة، وذلك في أعقاب إعلان نتائج الانتخابات البرلمانية
وانتخب الكويتيون، في 28 أيلول/سبتمبر، برلماناً جديداً بعد نحو شهرين من حل البرلمان السابق بسبب عدم التوافق بين السلطتين التشريعية والتنفيذية
ويتمتع مجلس الأمة في الكويت بنفوذ قوي يخوّله استجواب رئيس الحكومة والوزراء والتصويت على حجب الثقة
