On Thursday Military Adviser of the Supreme Leader of the Iranian Revolution and Republic Major General Moḥsen Reẓā’ī confirmed that the response of Iran to any possible aggression against its infrastructure will be escalatory and severe, condemning the American aggression that has targeted the pilgrims at the Šalamče Irani-Iraqi border crossing.
In a post on his X account Reẓā’ī said that American President Donald Trump has shifted from the mad man game to the desperate man game in result of devastating mistakes”.
He added: “Targeting the pilgrims at the Šalamče border crossing and threatening with launching attacks against the infrastructure only show desperation and incapacity”.
The local authorities in the Iranian Hūzestān Province had announced earlier the martyrdom of two people and the injury of at least 11 others following an American bombardment targeting the Šalamče border crossing.
The Iranian military adviser also confirmed that the response of his country to any attacks targeting the infrastructure will be escalatory and severe.

أكّد المستشار العسكري لقائد الثورة والجمهورية في إيران اللواء محسن رضائي، الخميس، أنّ رد إيران على أي عدوان محتمل على بنيتها التحتية سيكون تصاعدياً وشديداً، مستنكراً الاعتداء الأميركي الذي استهدف زائرين في معبر الشلامجة على الحدود الإيرانية- العراقية.
وقال رضائي، في منشور على حسابه على منصة “إكس”، إنّ الرئيس الأميركي دونالد “ترامب انتقل من لعبة الرجل المجنون إلى لعبة الرجل اليائس، نتيجة أخطائه القاتل
وأضاف: “استهداف الزائرين في معبر الشلامجة والتهديد بشن هجمات على البنى التحتية لا يعكسان سوى اليأس والعجز”.
وأعلنت السلطات المحلية في محافظة خوزستان الإيرانية، في وقت سابق، استشهاد شخصين وإصابة ما لا يقلّ عن 11 آخرين، جراء قصف أميركي استهدف معبر الشلامجة الحدودي.
