On Saturday Speaker of the Iranian Consultative Council Moḥammad Bāqer Qālībāf announced Iran receiving messages from the neighboring states about formulating a new security arrangement and economic cooperation in the region.
Qālībāf said that Washington put the security of each and every of its allies to danger by what he called as “barbarism” and total disregard of their interests for the sake of “Israel”.
American President Donald Trump had announced two days earlier what he called “the most severe economic destructive operation ever taken against a country” according to his expression, against Iran. It should be remembered that he described the operation as “economic war and unprecedented isolation”. This came after what he described as “Tehran failing to take the chance given to it to reach an agreement”.
In this context Trump promised to impose massive economic sanctions on any country that is allowing its financial institutions, companies, airports or governmental institutions to provide “a lifeline” to Iran.
In a joint context Qālībāf during his meeting with Iranian and Iraqi economists in Baghdad on Friday called for planning for combating the sanctions and to overcome them, expressing that “our enemies come to steal the resources of the Muslim countries”, confirming the readiness to resist defending dignity.

أعلن رئيس مجلس الشورى الإيراني محمد باقر قاليباف، اليوم السبت، تلقّي إيران رسائل من دول مجاورة بشأن صياغة ترتيبات أمنية جديدة وتعاون اقتصادي في المنطقة
وقال قاليباف إن واشنطن عرّضت أمن كل واحد من حلفائها للخطر من خلال ما وصفه بـ “البلطجة” والتجاهل التام لمصالحهم لصالح “إسرائيل”.
وكان الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، قد أعلن قبل يومين، إطلاق ما سمّاه “أشدّ عملية اقتصادية تدميرية تُتخذ على الإطلاق ضد أي دولة”، بحسب تعبيره، ضد إيران. يُذكر، أنه وصف العملية بـ”حرب اقتصادية وعزلة غير مسبوقة”، وذلك عقب ما سمّاه “فشل طهران في اغتنام الفرصة الممنوحة لها للتوصل إلى اتفاق”.
على صلة، توعّد ترامب بفرض عواقب اقتصادية هائلة على أي دولة تسمح لمؤسساتها المالية أو شركاتها أو مطاراتها أو جهاتها الحكومية بتقديم “شريان الحياة” لإيران.
وفي سياق متصل، دعا قاليباف، خلال اجتماع مع اقتصاديين إيرانيين وعراقيين في بغداد أمس، إلى التخطيط لمواجهة العقوبات وتجاوزها، معتبراً أن “أعداءنا يأتون لنهب موارد البلدان الإسلامية”، ومؤكداً الاستعداد للصمود دفاعاً عن العزة
