Syrian news outlets on Tuesday morning brought the news of the murder of pilot Ismā‘īl al-Malā ‘Umayr, leader of the so called “Dayr az-Zūr Military Council in one of the districts of the Turkish city of Istanbul.

The sources pointed out that the murderer is a nephew of al-Malā, who slaughtered him, cut his head in front of his wife and little girl.
Ismā‘īl al-Malā deserted the Syrian Army in 2012 and became a leader for the so called “Military Council of the city of Dayr az-Zūr”, from where he descended from.
Turkish media channels quoted security sources saying that the police apprehended the suspect in the apartment and the reasons of the crime is still unknown.

وأشارت مصادر إلى أن القاتل هو ابن أخ الملا وأنه ذبحه وقطع رأسه أمام زوجته وطفلته الصغيرة
وانشق إسماعيل الملا عن الجيش السوري في العام 2012، وأصبح قائدا لما يسمى “مجلس مدينة دير الزور العسكري” التي ينحدر منها
ونقلت وسائل إعلام تركية عن مصدر أمني قوله إن الشرطة ألقت القبض على المشتبه به في الشقة، وإن أسباب جريمة القتل لا تزال غير معروفة
