Secretary of the Iranian National Security Council Major General Moḥsen Reẓā’ī underlined that no amount of enriched uranium material, not even a tiny amount will leave Iran, but will remain within the country.
While welcoming Commander of the Pakistani Army General ‘Āṣim Munīr on Tuesday Major General Reẓā’ī said that “these enriched uranium materials represent a strategic source and national wealth for the Iranians”.
As for the negotiations, Major General Reẓā’ī confirmed that there is a conviction inside the country that these will not happen until the United States initiates building trust, stating the that first step in this trajectory of trust building is that Washington implements the Iranian conditions.
On his own behalf General Munīr explained that the problems about the border between Iran and Pakistan have been fully solved and the border crossing has been reopened on Tuesday morning, pointing out that the border issues were temporal and technical.
Qālībāf: There is no trust in Washington until the seven conditions are fulfilled
During the meeting of General Munīr with Speaker of the Iranian Consultative Council Moḥammad Bāqer Qālībāf the latter confirmed that Washington will not be able to gain the trust of Iran, only by implementing its seven conditions.
Qālībāf recalled that the American administration of Donald Trump violated the Memorandum of Understanding and escalated its threats, therefore “the basis of lack of trust with Washington has become even more solidified than any time before”.
Qālībāf underlined that Washington “has fallen into a quagmire with its false calculations and launched a war against Iran”, pointing out that it is that one that needs to take measures to get out of it.
He also confirmed that the American military threats and moves “will have no affect in Iran’s strategic decisions”.
The Commander of the Pakistani Army arrived in Tehran on Tuesday in a visit that came in light of the main role Pakistan plays in the mediation between the United States and Iran during the negotiations between the two sides.
Talking about the mediation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Tehran on Monday in his first visit since the beginning of the American-Israeli war against Iran, in light of the attempts of Russia to play a role of mediation to end the war.
Lavrov confirmed that the efforts of Moscow “aim to prevent the resurgence of a large scale war” in light of the complicated talks between Tehran and Washington.
