The Foreign Ministry of Iraq condemns the statements of the head of the Occupation’s government Benjamin Netanyahu about the vision of “Greater Israel” and confirms that it is a blatant violation of the international law and the U.N. Charter.

On Thursday the Foreign Ministry of Iraq expressed that the Republic of Iraq with the harshest terms condemns the statements issued by the Occupying Entity about what it called as the vision of “Greater Israel”, expressing that it clearly reflects the expansionists aspirations of this Entity. It also confirmed its attempts to undermine the security and stability in the region.

The Ministry in a statement confirmed that these statements represent a blatant provocation of the sovereignty of states and a scandalous violation of the international law and the U.N. Charter, underlining that a clear and decisive Arab and international stance has to be taken about these policies.

The statement also pointed out that the recent statements came at a time when the Occupation’s authorities continue their aggressive policies and commit crimes against the Palestinian people, confirming that these behaviors expressed in a political speech based on expansion and incorporation need and effective action to put an end to the violations of the Occupation and to stop the policy of impunity.

Netanyahu during a television interview showing a map of “Israel” revealed incorporating parts of the lands of occupied Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Egypt, as he confirmed his “strong” approval to this vision.

أعربت وزارة الخارجية العراقية، اليوم الخميس، عن إدانة جمهورية العراق بأشد العبارات. للتصريحات الصادرة عن كيان الاحتلال بشأن ما يُسمى رؤية “إسرائيل الكبرى”، معتبرةً أنها تكشف بوضوح. عن الأطماع التوسعية لهذا الكيان، وتؤكد سعيه لزعزعة الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

وأوضحت الوزارة في بيان أن هذه التصريحات تمثل استفزازاً صارخاً لسيادة الدول. وانتهاكاً فاضحاً للقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، مشددةً على ضرورة اتخاذ موقف عربي ودولي واضح. وحازم للتصدي لهذه السياسات.

كما لفت البيان إلى أن التصريحات الأخيرة تأتي في وقت تواصل فيه سلطات. الاحتلال سياسات العدوان وارتكاب الجرائم بحق الشعب الفلسطيني، مؤكدةً أن هذه الممارسات، المقترنة بخطاب سياسي. يقوم على التوسع والضمّ، تتطلب تحركاً فاعلاً لوضع حد لتجاوزات. الاحتلال ووقف سياسة الإفلات من العقاب.
