Saudi Crown Prince Muḥammad ibn Salmān points out that there are problems between the kingdom and Tehran on which Saudi-Arabia works on solving with its partners, expressing his hope to overcome them.
Saudi Crown Prince Muḥammad ibn Salmān said that the kingdom aspires to set up good and excellent relations with Iran, considering it a neighboring state.
During a televised interview aired by the Saudi media, Ibn Salmān pointed out that there are problems between the two countries on which Saudi Arabia works to solve them with its partners, expressing his hope to overcome all the difficulties.
Answering a question about whether there is any hope on the horizon for a settlement solving the pending questions between the two sides he said: “In the end, Iran is a neighboring country. We want to have a good and distinguished relation with Iran”.
He further explained saying: “We don’t want the situation for Iran to be difficult. On the contrary, we want Iran to flourish. We have an interest there, and Iran has an interest in Saudi-Arabia to push the world and the region ahead for prosperity”.
The Saudi Crown Prince pointed out that “our difficulties are the negative behaviors of Iran, which it has, either with its nuclear program, its support for militias outside of the law in some regional countries, or its ballistic missile program”.
He continued: “Today we work without partners around the world to find solutions for the difficulties, and we hope to surpass them and to have good and positive relations for everyone’s benefit”.
About Yemen, Ibn Salmān said that “the kingdom offered a ceasefire and economic support for Yemen. All that is asked for in exchange is a ceasefire by the al-Ḥūtīs and to sit down at the negotiating table”, according to his expression.
The Saudi Crown Prince called upon the “Anṣār Allah” to sit down at the negotiating table with all Yemeni sides to reach a solution.
He reassured that the Saudi offer for a ceasefire is still open and requires the “Anṣār Allah” to sit down at the negotiating table and also commit to a ceasefire.

قال ولي العهد السعودي محمد بن سلمان إن المملكة تطمح إلى إقامة علاقة جيدة ومميزة مع إيران باعتبارها دولة جارة
وخلال مقابلة بثتها وسائل الإعلام السعودية، أشار ابن سلمان إلى وجود إشكاليات بين البلدين تعمل السعودية على حلها مع شركائها، معرباً عن أمله في تجاوز كل الإشكاليات
ورداً على سؤال حول ما إذا كان هناك أي عمل جارٍ على تسوية القضايا العالقة بين الطرفين: “أخيرا إيران دولة جارة، نريد أن تكون لدينا علاقة طيبة ومميزة مع إيران”
كما أوضح قائلاً: “لا نريد أن يكون وضع إيران صعباً، بالعكس نريد إيران مزدهرة، لدينا مصالح فيها ولديها مصالح في السعودية لدفع العالم والمنطقة للازدهار
ولي العهد السعودي أشار إلى أنّ “إشكاليتنا هي تصرفات إيران السلبية التي تقوم بها سواء عبر برنامجها النووي أو دعمها للميليشيات الخارجة عن القانون في بعض دول المنطقة أو برنامجها للصواريخ الباليستية
وتابع: “نعمل اليوم مع شركائنا في العالم لإيجاد حلول لهذه الإشكاليات ونتمنى أن نتجاوزها وأن تكون علاقاتنا طيبة وإيجابية في منفعة الجميع
وعن اليمن، قال ابن سلمان إنّ “المملكة عرضت وقف إطلاق النار والدعم الاقتصادي لليمن وكل ما يريدونه مقابل وقف إطلاق النار من قبل الحوثي والجلوس على طاولة المفاوضات”، وفق تعبيره
وكان ولي العهد السعودي قد دعا “أنصار الله” إلى الجلوس حول طاولة المفاوضات مع جميع الأطراف اليمنيين للوصول إلى حل
وأكد أن العرض السعودي بوقف إطلاق النار لا يزال قائماً ويشترط جلوس “أنصار الله” إلى طاولة المفاوضات ووقفهم لإطلاق النار أيضاً
