A Turkish newspaper revealed discussions launched by the authorities of Turkey in order to launch a dialogue with the Syrian government.
The Turkish “Hürriyet” newspaper reported on Monday that the authorities in Ankara are currently holding discussions to launch a dialogue with the Syrian government. The matter itself is about restoring the relations between the two countries to their normal nature.
The newspaper cited insightful sources that “the policy of balance, which Turkey started to rely on recently and the role Ankara plays in the last few months, especially towards solving the war in Ukraine currently presents an ideal timing to solve the Syrian problem as well”.
The sources pointed out that Turkey “in all its contacts with the Syrian administration 3 points it does not give concessions about”. These are “preserving the Syrian unitary system and territorial integrity, securing the security of the refugees returning to their country”, while also “the activities of the Kurdistani Workers Party”.
Affording to the newspaper “Ankara presented these important messages to Damascus, also before the visit of President Baššār al-Asad to the Emirates”.
It should be remembered that President Baššār al-Asad visited the Emirates two weeks ago and met with Abū Zabī Crown Prince Muḥammad ibn Zāyid Āl Nahyān, and the monarch of Dubai, Muḥammad ibn Rāšid Āl Maktūm.

صحيفة تركيّة تكشف مناقشات تُجريها سلطات تركيا من أجل الشروع في حوار مع الحكومة السورية
أفادت صحيفة “حرييت” التركية، اليوم الإثنين، بأن السلطات في أنقرة تُجري حالياً مناقشات للشروع في حوار مع الحكومة السورية، الأمر الذي من شأنه أن يعيد العلاقات بين البلدين إلى طبيعتها.
ونقلت الصحيفة عن مصادر مطلعة أنّ “سياسة التوازن التي تبنتها تركيا مؤخراً، والدور الذي تؤديه أنقرة في الأشهر الأخيرة، وخصوصاً تجاه حل الحرب في أوكرانيا، يجعلان التوقيت الحالي جيداً لحل المشكلة السورية أيضاً”.
وأشارت المصادر إلى أن تركيا، “في جميع اتصالاتها بالإدارة السورية، تؤكد 3 أشياء لا غنى عنها”، وهي “المحافظة على الهيكل الوحدوي ووحدة الأراضي السورية، وضمان أمن اللاجئين العائدين إلى بلادهم”، بالإضافة إلى “نشاط حزب العمال الكردستاني”.
ووفق الصحيفة، فإن “أنقرة نقلت هذه الرسائل المهمة إلى دمشق، ولاسيما قبل زيارة الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد للإمارات”.
