After the decision of the Military Tribunal in al-Balīda
General Tawfīq was released, while General Ṭarṭāq and Sa‘īd Bū Taflīqa stayed in prison

The Ministry of National Defense announced that Sa‘īd Bū Taflīqa will be transported to a civilian prison, while General Bašīr Ṭarṭāq stays in prison, while Lieutenant-General Tawfīq Maydān was released.
This comes in the announcement about the ruling of the Secondary Court in al-Balīda.
This announcement came by the Ministry of National Defense: “We inform the public about the information that the Secondary Military Council in al-Balīda took a decision in the session held on 02 January 2021 that all Muḥammad Madyān, Ṭarṭāq ‘Utmān, Sa‘īd Bū Taflīqa, and Ḥanūn Lūyzā were found innocent after the Supreme Court ruled in the cases of “conspiracy with the aim to affect the authority of the military organization’s leadership” and “conspiracy with the aim to change the ruling system”, which deeds are punishable by the 284th paragraph of the military law and by the 77th and 78th paragraphs of the criminal law.”
It added: “We bring attention to the fact that Muḥammad Madyān was released, Lūyzā Ḥanūn was already free, while Ṭarṭāq ‘Utmān stays in the military prison on al-Balīda until the military charges against him go on. About Bū Taflīqa Sa‘īd, he shall be transported to a civilian prison as long as the other cases are still pending about economic and financial matters belonging to the Court in the Algerian capital”.

أعلنت وزارة الدفاع الوطني أن السعيد بوتفليقة سيحول إلى سجن مدني وإبقاء الجنرال بشير طرطاق في السجن فيما تم الإفراج عن الفريق توفيق مدين.
وجاء ذلك في بيان بشأن أحكام محكمة الإستئناف بالبليدة.
وجاء في بيان لـوزارة الدفاع الوطني “نحيط الرأي العام علما أن مجلس الاستئناف العسكري بالبليدة أصدر قرارا، بجلسته المنعقدة بتاريخ يوم 02 جانفي 2021، بتبرئة كل من مدين محمد، طرطاق عثمان، بوتفليقة سعيد، وحنون لويزة، بعد نقض الحكم من طرف المحكمة العليا بتهمة ” التآمر بغرض المساس بسلطة قائد تشكيلة عسكرية” و”المؤامرة بغرض تغيير نظام الحكم”، الأفعال المعاقب عليها بموجب المواد 284 من قانون القضاء العسكري و77 و78 من قانون العقوبات”.
وأضاف” تجدر الإشارة أنه تم الإفراج عن محمد مدين ولويزة حنون التي كانت في حرية، فيما يخص طرطاق عثمان، فيبقى في السجن العسكري بالبليدة لوجود متابعات ضده أمام القضاء العسكري، أما بوتفليقة سعيد سيتم تحويله إلى السجن المدني كونه متابع في قضايا أخرى أمام القطب الجزائي الاقتصادي والمالي التابع لمجلس قضاء الجزائر العاصمة”.
