The French Foreign Ministry says that the announcement of Sa‘ad al-Ḥarīrī proves his sense of responsibility and national interest of Lebanon and supports the appointed Prime Minister Muṣṭafā Adīb to form the government the soonest possible.
France welcomes what it describes as a “brave announcement” by the former head of government in Lebanon, Sa‘ad al-Ḥarīrī.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement said that the announcement by al-Ḥarīrī “proves his sense of responsibility and national interest for Lebanon”, expressing that “shows his openness to the importance, what all have to understand until the now the government is formed”.
It pointed out that “this is what the Lebanese and the international partners of Lebanon expect, and also everyone, who with the best of intentions wants to help it in this unpleasant instance”, calling all the Lebanese political leaders to “adhere to the vows they made to the French President on 1 September for one aim, which is to fulfill the pressing needs of Lebanon”.
The French Foreign Ministry reaffirmed that Paris “will continue to stand by the Lebanese to cooperate with the European and international partners”, confirming that “it will include within the conditions the international support for Lebanon in every stage”.
France has announced that it supports the appointed head of government Muṣṭafā Adīb to form a government the soonest possible, made up from independent personnel and specialist chosen by himself.
The French Foreign Ministry said yesterday that “the Lebanese political forces face a choice between recuperation and the collapse of the country”, adding that this is “a heavy responsibility towards the Lebanese people”.
The former head of government Sa‘ad al-Ḥarīrī announced yesterday that “he decided to help” appointed head of government Muṣṭafā Adīb in “finding a solution to name an independent Minister of Finance from the Shia community chosen by himself”, within “a personal initiative” about which he said it is “apart from the stances of the former leaders of governments”.
Advisor to the Speaker of the Parliament ‘Alī Ḥasan Halīl said that he has no stance, nor positive, nor negative about the initiative of al-Ḥarīrī.
The statements of al-Ḥarīrī come in the light of the ongoing political crisis in Lebanon, that the composition of the government hasn’t been agreed upon, and the consultations led by the appointed prime minister still go on.
Lebanese President Mīšāl ‘Awn announced on Monday that no solution has been reached about the Ministry of Finance in the midst of what he called “intransigence or stances”. He said that “the solution is not close”, warning that “Lebanon’s position does not allow any second to be wasted now”.
After the deadline was over, which the French President set up to the new government to be announced and for the negotiations, which are still ongoing the appointed PM said that he agreed with President ‘Awn that he will still provide some time for further negotiations.
President ‘Awn pushed for the formation of a government before the end of this year, including the formula, which was discussed by the parties of the crisis but was not agreed on in light of the mutual reservations for it. He wanted to say: “Either success, or catastrophe”.
French President Emmanuel Macron, who visited Lebanon and met with the political factions in the country said at the beginning of September from the presidential palace in Beirut that it is important to carry out the roadmap, which was agreed upon by most of the Lebanese political sides, warning about the repercussions, if the Lebanese authorities don’t abide their vows at the end of October.
It should mention that on 31 August the Lebanese president appointed the Lebanese ambassador to Germany, Muṣṭafā Adīb to form a new government.

وقالت الخارجية الفرنسية في بيان، إن إعلان الحريري “يبرهن على إحساسه بالمسؤولية والمصلحة الوطنية للبنان”، معتبرة أنه “يمثل افتتاحية للأهمية التي يجب أن يفهمها الجميع حتى يتم الآن تشكيل حكومة مهمة
وأشارت إلى أن “هذا ما يتوقعه اللبنانيون وكذلك شركاء لبنان الدوليون وكل من يريد، بحسن نية، مساعدته في هذه اللحظة الحرجة”، داعية جميع القادة السياسيين اللبنانيين “إلى احترام الالتزامات التي قطعوها على أنفسهم للرئيس الفرنسي في 1 أيلول/ سبتمبر، لغرض وحيد هو توفير الاحتياجات الملحة للبنان
وجددت الخارجية الفرنسية التأكيد على أن باريس “ستواصل الوقوف إلى جانب اللبنانيين بالتنسيق مع شركائها الأوروبيين والدوليين”، مؤكدة أنها “ستضمن احترام شروط الدعم الدولي للبنان في كل مرحلة
وأعلنت فرنسا عن تشجيعها لرئيس الحكومة المكلف مصطفى أديب على تشكيل حكومة مهمة بأسرع ما يمكن، تتألف من شخصيات مستقلة ومختصة يختارها بنفسه
وكانت وزارة الخارجية الفرنسية قالت أمس، إن “القوى السياسية اللبنانية تواجه الاختيار بين التعافي وانهيار البلد”، مضيفةً أنها “مسؤولية ثقيلة تجاه اللبنانيين
وأعلن رئيس الحكومة اللبنانية الأسبق سعد الحريري أمس، أنه “قرر مساعدة” رئيس الحكومة المكلف مصطفى أديب في “إيجاد مخرج بتسمية وزير مالية مستقل من الطائفة الشيعية يختاره هو”، في “مبادرة فردية” قال إنها “بمعزل عن موقف رؤساء الحكومات السابقين
وقال مستشار رئيس البرلمان اللبناني، علي حسن خليل، إنه لا موقف لديه سلبياً كان أو إيجابياً في ما يتعلق بمبادرة الحريري
تصريحات الحريري أتت في ظل استمرار الأزمة السياسية في لبنان، وعدم التوصل إلى تأليف الحكومة، والمشاورات التي يقوم بها الرئيس المكلف
وأعلن الرئيس اللبناني، ميشال عون، الاثنين عدم التوصل إلى حل بشأن وزارة المالية، وسط ما وصفه بـ”تصلب المواقف”، وقال إن “الحل ليس قريباً”، محذراً من أن “وضع لبنان لا يتحمل هدر أي دقيقة حالياً
وعقب انتهاء المهلة التي حددتها فرنسا لإعلان تشكيل الحكومة، والمشاورات التي يجريها، أعلن الرئيس المكلف أنه اتفق مع الرئيس عون على التريث قليلاً لإعطاء مزيد من الوقت للمشاورات
الرئيس عون كان قد أصرّ على تأليف الحكومة قبل نهاية العام الحالي، ولا سيما أن الصيغ التي ناقشتها أطراف الأزمة لم تصل إلى خواتيمها السعيدة في ظل الاعتراضات المتبادلة علىها. وحذّر قائلاً: “إما النجاح وإما الكارثة
الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون الذي زار لبنان والتقى الفرقاء السياسيين في البلاد، قال مطلع أيلول/سبتمبر من قصر الصنوبر في بيروت إن المهم تنفيذ خارطة الطريق التي وافق أغلب الأطراف السياسيين اللبنانيين، محذراً من عواقب إذا لم تف السلطات اللبنانية بوعودها في نهاية تشرين الأول/ أكتوبر
يذكر أن الرئيس اللبناني كان كلّف السفير اللبناني في ألمانيا، مصطفى أديب، بتشكيل الحكومة في 31 آب/أغسطس الماضي
