Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for political affairs and Chief Negotiator ‘Alī Bāqerī-Konī arrives at the Qatari capital Doha to discuss the bilateral relations and discuss regional and international matters.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for political affairs and Chief Negotiator ‘Alī Bāqerī-Konī arrived at Doha on Tuesday morning at the invitation of his Qatari counterpart.
The Iranian media reported that Bāqerī-Konī during his visit will negotiate bilateral relations and a number of regional and international matters with the Qatari officials.
It is important to mention that ‘Alī Bāqerī-Konī visited Qatar in July this year to hold a new round of nuclear negotiations trying to revive the JCPOA, but without achieving a clear result in these negotiations.
Qatari Emir Tamīm ibn Ḥamad Āl Tānī also visited Iran in May and in Tehran met with Iranian President Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī.
This visit also came after the visit by Iranian President Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī to Qatar in February this year when he confirmed that “the relations of Iran and Qatar at the levels of the government and the people and built and consolidated on the basis of common interests”.

نائب وزير الخارجية للشؤون السياسية وكبير المفاوضين الإيرانيين علي باقري كني يصل إلى العاصمة القطرية الدوحة لمناقشة العلاقات الثنائية وبحث القضايا الإقليمية والدولية
وصل نائب وزير الخارجية الإيراني للشؤون السياسية وكبير المفاوضين علي باقري كني، صباح اليوم الثلاثاء، إلى الدوحة بدعوة من نظيره القطري
وأفادت وسائل إعلام إيرانية بأن كني سيناقش خلال زيارته العلاقات الثنائية وعدداً من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية مع المسؤولين القطريين.
والجدير ذكره أنّ علي باقري كني زار قطر في تموز/يوليو من هذا العام لإجراء جولة جديدة من المفاوضات النووية لإحياء خطة العمل الشاملة المشتركة، لكن من دون أن تتحقّق نتيجة واضحة لهذه المفاوضات.
وزار أمير قطر تميم بن حمد آل ثاني إيران في شهر أيار/مايو، والتقى في طهران الرئيس الإيراني إبراهيم رئيسي.
أتت هذه الزيارة بعد زيارة الرئيس الإيراني إبراهيم رئيسي إلى قطر في شباط/فبراير من العام الجاري، إذ أكد أنّ “علاقات إيران وقطر على المستوى الحكومي والشعبي مترسخة ومبنية على أساس المصالح المشتركة
