On Tuesday Member of the Anṣār Allah Movement’s Political Office Muḥammad al-Buhaytīsaid that the Saudi forces and those allied to it exploited that the Sana’a remained committed not to turn the battle into confrontation between the South and the the North, pointing out that Riyadh aimed to push the battle into this direction.
About the battle for Ta‘izz
Al-Buhaytī in his statements to al-Mayadeen explained that the forces loyal to Saudi Arabia were under siege in Ta‘izz at the time when the its media reported news of progress and achieving victories in the ground.
He pointed out that there was a hole in the frontline, confirming that the Yemeni Forces managed to seal it, which made the forces advancing there an “easy prey”.
Al-Būhaytī confirmed that the advances towards the city of Ta‘izz are still continuing.
Sana’a suggested neutralizing Ta‘izz
Al-Buhaytī said that the initiative which Sana’a proposed would state neutrality for Ta‘izz Province in the battle. Power would be handed over to the governor and the local council without any member of the Anṣār Allah Movement jointing the local council.
Al-Buhaytī added that the other side rejected the initiative and imposed conditions that he described as impossible, which has lead to the continuation of the battle.
Al-Buhaytī pointed out that the neutrality for Ta‘izz Province is not longer suggested in light of the Yemeni Armed Forces taking control over it, confirming at the same time that the general amnesty resolution is still standing.
He explained that the general amnesty includes everyone, including Ṭāriq Ṣāliḥ, pointing out that the leaders of a number of divisions have contacted Sana’a and were informed about its position of the amnesty.
“We are ready to fight at any fronts”
About the regional escalation al-Buhaytī said that Sana’a was keen to focus the battle solely on the “Saudi enemy”, but it is ready to fight on any international front in case any state got involved in the war in Yemen.
He added that Yemen has come to posses the power to close down all airports and harbors of Saudi Arabia, warning Riyadh that there can be no solution by extending the war, or exploding new fronts within Yemen.
He confirmed that Sana’a is ready to “respond twice as hard”, expressing that the official Saudi declaration of war makes the Yemeni response all the more legal.
Warning about the cost of war to Saudi Arabia
Al-Buhaytī warned that the war on Yemen will be costly, saying that the Saudi infrastructure will all be targets for attacks.
He confirmed that Sana’a aims to create friendly ties with the Arab and Muslim countries, but rejects overlordship from outside Yemen.
Al-Buhaytī: We don’t expect the direct involvement of Türkiye, or Pakistan
About the regional positions, al-Buhaytī said that Sana’a does not expect involvement of Türkiye, or Pakistan in the confrontation within Yemen directly.
However, he underlining that Sana’a “will not sit idle” watching the involvement of any state in the war, expressing that the involvement of Türkiye and Pakistan in the war, even if indirectly, will mean involvement in “the sin against the Yemeni people”.
Finally al-Buhaytī confirmed that ending the war is a common interest, expressing that it is even much more an interest of Saudi Arabia, because Yemen has nothing left to lose”.

قال عضو المكتب السياسي في حركة أنصار الله محمد البخيتي، اليوم الثلاثاء، إن القوات السعودية والقوات الموالية لها استغلت التزام صنعاء بعدم تحويل المعركة إلى مواجهة بين الشمال والجنوب، مشيراً إلى أن الرياض كانت تسعى إلى دفع المعركة في هذا الاتجاه.
عن معركة تعز
وأوضح البخيتي، في تصريحات لـ”الميادين”، أن القوات الموالية للسعودية كانت محاصرة في تعز في الوقت الذي كانت فيه وسائل الإعلام التابعة لها تبث أخباراً عن تقدمها وتحقيقها انتصارات ميدانية.
وأشار إلى وجود ثغرة في جبهة القتال، مؤكداً أن القوات اليمنية تمكنت من سدّها، ما جعل القوات التي تقدمت في المنطقة “صيداً ثميناً”.
وأكد البخيتي أن مسارات التقدم باتجاه مدينة تعز لا تزال مستمرة
صنعاء طرحت تحييد تعز
وقال البخيتي إن المبادرة التي طرحتها صنعاء كانت تقضي بتحييد محافظة تعز عن المعركة، وتسليم السلطة فيها إلى المحافظ والمجلس المحلي، من دون أن يضمّ المجلس أي ممثل عن أنصار الله.
وأضاف البخيتي أن الطرف المقابل رفض المبادرة، وطرح شروطاً وصفها بالتعجيزية، ما أدى إلى استمرار المعركة
ولفت البخيتي إلى أن تحييد محافظة تعز لم يعد مطروحاً في ظل سيطرة القوات المسلحة اليمنية عليها، مؤكداً في الوقت نفسه أن قرار العفو العام لا يزال قائماً.
وأوضح أن العفو العام يشمل الجميع، بمن فيهم طارق صالح، مشيراً إلى أن قادة في عدد من الألوية تواصلوا مع صنعاء، وأُبلغوا بموقفها بشأن العفو
“مستعدون للقتال في أي جبهة
وفي ما يتعلق بالتصعيد الإقليمي، قال البخيتي إن صنعاء حرصت على حصر المعركة مع “العدو السعودي”، لكنها مستعدة للقتال في أي جبهة دولية في حال تورّط أي دولة في الحرب على اليمن.
وأضاف أن اليمن بات يمتلك القدرة على إغلاق جميع المطارات والموانئ السعودية، محذراً الرياض من أن الحل لا يكون عبر تدويل الحرب أو تفجير الجبهات داخل اليمن.
وأكد أن صنعاء مستعدة لـ”رد الصاع صاعين”، معتبراً أن الإعلان الرسمي السعودي عن الحرب يجعل الرد اليمني، أكثر شرعية.
تحذير من كلفة الحرب على السعودية
وحذّر البخيتي من أن الحرب على اليمن ستكون مكلفة، قائلا إن البنية التحتية السعودية ستكون كلها معرضة للاستهداف.
وأكد أن صنعاء تسعى إلى إقامة علاقات ودية بين الدول العربية والإسلامية، لكنها ترفض وصاية الخارج على اليمن.
البخيتي: لا نتوقع تورّط تركيا وباكستان مباشرة
وفي ما يتعلق بالمواقف الإقليمية، قال البخيتي إن صنعاء لا تتوقع تورّط تركيا وباكستان في المواجهات داخل اليمن بشكل مباشر.
لكنه شدد على أن صنعاء “لن تقف مكتوفة الأيدي” أمام أي تورط لأي دولة في الحرب، معتبراً أن تورّط تركيا أو باكستان في الحرب، حتى بشكل غير مباشر، يعني، تورّطاً في “ظلم الشعب اليمني”.
وختم البخيتي بالتأكيد أن وقف الحرب يمثّل مصلحة مشتركة، معتبراً أنه يصبّ في مصلحة السعودية بدرجة أكبر، لأن اليمن، “لم يعد لديه ما يخسره
