President of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a Mahdī al-Mašāṭ praises signing the prisoner’s exchange agreement in Amman after negotiations lasting for 15 weeks.

President of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a Mahdī al-Mašāṭ praises signing the prisoner’s exchange agreement in the Jordanian capital, expressing his thanks for the efforts taken for the sake of the agreement.
During a telephone conversation with President of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs ‘Abd al-Qādir al-Murtaḍā and Commander of the Hamdān front Major General ‘Abd Allah ar-Razzāmī, al-Mašāṭ confirmed that Sana’a “gave and continues to give all the concessions for the full success of this humanitarian matter and to release all the prisoners and those taken during the aggression”, based on the principle of “all for all, as it was agreed upon in the roadmap”.
More than 1600 prisoners held by both sides have been released
President of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs ‘Abd al-Qādir al-Murtaḍā had announced the conclusion of the negotiations session about the prisoners case in Amman with signing the list of names of the prisoners and detainees. The number of the prisoners and detainees at Sana’a side is more than 1100 people, while on the other side 580 people, including seven Saudi and 20 Sudanese prisoners.
On its behalf the president of Sana’a’s delegation Muḥammad ‘Abd as-Salām said that signing the recent protocols about the list of prisoners and other detainees took place in Amman based on the Sweden agreement and according to the agreement ratified in the Sultanate of Oman in December 2025, expressing his gratitude for the efforts of the U.N. Envoy all those, who participated in the success of this session.
A high level Yemeni source have reported to “al-Mayadeen” that signing agreeing to the agreement of the prisoners exchange “has nothing to do with the roadmap, and that is strictly a humanitarian matter” that comes “within the Sweden agreement and implementing the recent agreement in the Sultanate of Oman in December 2025 that specified a number of prisoners and the lists”.
He added that “Saudi Arabia pushes for ending prisoners case for its prisoners at Sana’a”.
In the same context U.N. Envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg announced that the delegations of Sana’a and the “Presidential Leadership” Council under the oversight of the United Nations reached an agreement stating “the release of more than 1600 detainees linked to the conflict after 3 months of intense negotiations held in Amman”.

بارك رئيس المجلس السياسي الأعلى في صنعاء، مهدي المشاط، توقيع اتفاق تبادل الأسرى الذي جرى في العاصمة الأردنية عمّان، معبّراً عن شكره للجهود المبذولة لإنجاح الاتفاق.
وخلال اتصال هاتفي مع رئيس اللجنة الوطنية لشؤون الأسرى عبد القادر المرتضى وقائد محور همدان اللواء عبد الله الرزامي، أكد المشاط أن صنعاء “قدمت وما زالت تقدم كل التسهيلات من أجل إنجاز هذا الملف الإنساني بشكل كامل، والإفراج عن كل الأسرى والمختطفين لدى العدوان”، وفقاً لمبدأ “الكل مقابل الكل، كما هو متفق عليه في خارطة الطريق”.
الإفراج عن أكثر من 1600 أسير ومعتقل بين الطرفين
وكان رئيس اللجنة الوطنية لشؤون الأسرى، عبد القادر المرتضى، أعلن استكمال جولة المفاوضات الخاصة بملف الأسرى في عمّان بالتوقيع على قوائم أسماء الأسرى والمعتقلين، والبالغ عددهم 1100 أسير ومعتقل من طرف صنعاء و580 من الطرف الآخر، بينهم سبعة أسرى سعوديين و20 أسيراً سودانياً
ومن جهته، قال رئيس وفد صنعاء المفاوض، محمد عبد السلام، إن التوقيع على الكشوفات الأخيرة لقوائم الأسرى والمعتقلين جرى في عمّان استناداً إلى اتفاق السويد، وبحسب الاتفاق المبرم في سلطنة عُمان في ديسمبر 2025، معبّراً عن تقديره لجهود المبعوث الأممي ولكل من ساهم في إنجاز هذه الجولة.
وأفاد مصدر يمني رفيع لـ”الميادين” بأنّ التوقيع والاتفاق على ملف الأسرى “لا علاقة له بخارطة الطريق وهو ملف إنساني بحت”، يأتي “ضمن اتفاق السويد وتنفيذاً للاتفاق الأخير في سلطنة عمان في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2025 والذي حدد عدد الأسرى والقوائم”.
وأضاف بأنّ “السعودية تدفع نحو إنهاء ملف الأسرى بسبب أسراها لدى صنعاء”.
وفي السياق، أعلن المبعوث الأممي إلى اليمن، هانس غروندبرغ، عن توصل وفدَي صنعاء ومجلس “القيادة الرئاسي” برعاية الأمم المتحدة إلى اتفاق يقضي بـ”الإفراج عن أكثر من 1600 محتجز مرتبطين بالنزاع، بعد 3 أشهر من المفاوضات المكثفة التي جرت في عمّان
