A Syrian source denies to al-Mayadeen what was circulated about a meeting to be held in Baghdad between the Director of the Turkish Intelligence Service Hakan Fidan and the Director of the Syrian National Security Bureau Major-General ‘Alī Mamlūk.
A Syrian source to al-Mayadeen “categorically denied” what was circulated about a meeting to be held in Baghdad between the Director of the Turkish Intelligence Service Hakan Fidan and the Director of the Syrian National Security Bureau Major-General ‘Alī Mamlūk.
The Turkish press was talking about a meeting held between Fidan and Mamlūk that will be held in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
The “Türkiye Gazetasi” newspaper cited former director of the Turkish Military Agency Directorate Ismail Hakkı Pekin saying that “the meeting between Fidan and Mamlūk will be the new beginning of the relations between Turkey and Syria and the two sides will study numerous matters, including the matter of the Kurds in Northern Syria and the possible to restore diplomatic relations between the two countries”.

نفى مصدر سوري للميادين “نفياً قاطعاً” ما تمَّ تداوله بشأن لقاء مرتقَب في بغداد بين رئيس جهاز المخابرات التركية هاكان فيدان، ورئيس مكتب الأمن الوطني السوري اللواء علي مملوك.
وكانت صحيفة تركية تحدثت عن لقاءٍ مرتقَبٍ بين فيدان ومملوك، سيُعقَد في العاصمة العراقية بغداد.
ونقلت صحيفة “تركيا غازيتيسيه” عن رئيس دائرة المخابرات العسكرية التركية الأسبق، إسماعيل حقي بكين، قوله إن “الاجتماع بين فيدان ومملوك سيكون بدايةً جديدةً للعلاقات بين سوريا وتركيا، وإنَّ الطرفين سيبحثان في قضايا متعددة، “منها ملفُّ الكرد في الشمال السوري، وإمكان عودة العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين البلدين”.
