Syrian President Baššār al-Asad in Damascus meets with a Lebanese delegation led by the President of the Lebanese Democratic Party Ṭalāl Arslān and underlines that the battle which has to be fought by the leaderships “is a battle to defend the minds from all what threatens them”.
Syrian President Baššār al-Asad confirmed that the relations between Syria and Lebanon must “not be affected by the changes and the circumstances, but work should be done on their solidification”. Thus he underlined that his country “will stay with the Lebanese people in various levels”.
During his meeting today with a Lebanese delegation led by the President of the Lebanese Democratic Party Ṭalāl Arslān, including Lebanese religious elders and representatives of the Druze Muslim community, political and party personalities, and economic and social associations al-Asad expressed that the members of this delegation “represent the real face of Lebanon, and count to be the majority of the Lebanese, who believe in the necessity of relations with Syria and in their importance. They were loyal to this and stood with it during the years of the war”.
The Syria President pointed out that “the leaderships, which have a true and clear vision are those which by mutual relations with the people can deliver them to the true goal despite what the region faces by attempts to dismantle the social and national cohesion”. Thus he pointed out that the battle, which has to be fought by the leaderships “is a battle to defend the minds from all what threatens them”.
On his behalf Arslān confirmed that Damascus “gave the world a lesson by not yielding to the global hubris and colonialism and to its aggressions” . Thus expressing that “the suffers of the Lebanese and the Syrian people are by the neocolonialism”.
He underlined that “all who attacks Syrian, attacks Lebanon”. He pointed out that “my homeland does not accept a wedge between Lebanon and Syria, because that would mean a stab to Lebanon in its hearth and a conspiracy against Syria”.
On his behalf religious elder of the Druze Muslim community in Lebanon, aš-Šayh Naṣr ad-Dīn al-Ġarīb said that the delegation “came to Syria to congratulate to it both to the leadership and to the people for what it achieved in victories against terrorism despite the huge support what was given to the terrorist groups”.
He pointed out “Damascus did not yield even for a day to terrorism, nor to the occupation”, explaining that “the community of the Druze Muslims will stay loyal to Syria and its people”.
On his part the President of the Arab Unionist Party Wi’ām Wahhāb underlined the necessity for Syria’s role and place in the region, adding that the Arabs “will not find a place for themselves between the regional powers, only by the return of Syria”.
The members of the delegation expressed their thanks to Syria “for standing on Lebanon’s side in the most desperate circumstances”. Thus they pointed out that “the relation with Syria is a historical and geographical existential relation and those betting of losing foreign gambles cannot distort its history”.
Yesterday, on Saturday a Lebanese ministerial delegation held a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Fayṣal al-Miqdād in the Syrian capital Damascus, where as he welcomed that Lebanese request to supply energy through its territories, according to what was announced by the Secretary General of the Lebanese-Syrian Supreme Council Naṣrī Hūrī.
The Lebanese Ministerial delegation arrived on Saturday morning to a new border area at Yābūs in Syria in preparation to ease the electricity crisis in Lebanon by supplying electric energy from Jordan via Syria.
The Syrian ambassador in Lebanon ‘Alī ‘Abd al-Karīm ‘Alī announced during an interview on al-Mayadeen that the negotiations of the Lebanese delegation in Syria concentrated on matters connected to oil and energy. Thus confirming that his country welcomed Lebanon getting Egyptian gas and electricity from Jordan via its territory.
الأسد لوفد لبناني برئاسة أرسلان: سوريا ستبقى مع الشعب اللبناني

الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد يستقبل في دمشق وفداً لبنانياً برئاسة رئيس الحزب الديمقراطي اللبناني طلال أرسلان، ويشدّد على أن المعركة التي يجب أن تخوضها القيادات “هي معركة حماية العقول ممّا يستهدفها”.
أكَّد الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد أن العلاقات بين سوريا ولبنان يجب “ألاّ تتأثّر بالمتغيرات والظروف، بل يجب العمل على تمتينها”، مشدّداً على أن بلاده “ستبقى مع الشعب اللبناني وتدعمه في مختلف الصُّعُد”.
وخلال استقباله اليوم وفداً لبنانياً برئاسة رئيس الحزب الديمقراطي اللبناني طلال أرسلان، ويضم رجال دين ووجهاء من طائفة المسلمين الموحِّدين الدروز وشخصيات سياسية وحزبية، وفعاليات اقتصادية واجتماعية لبنانية، اعتبر الأسد أن أعضاء هذا الوفد “يمثّلون وجه لبنان الحقيقي، ويعبّرون عن أغلبية اللبنانيين الذين يؤمنون بضرورة العلاقة بسوريا وأهميتها، وكانوا أوفياء لها، ووقفوا معها خلال سنوات الحرب”.
وأشار الرئيس السوري إلى أن “القيادات التي تمتلك الرؤية الصحيحة والواضحة هي التي تستطيع، عبر العلاقة المتبادلة بالناس، أن توصلهم إلى الهدف الصحيح، في ظل ما تتعرّض له المنطقة من محاولات تفكيك للبنى الاجتماعية والوطنية”، لافتاً إلى أن المعركة التي يجب أن تخوضها القيادات “هي معركة حماية العقول مما يستهدفها”.
بدوره، أكد أرسلان أن دمشق “أعطت العالم درساً في عدم الخضوعِ أمام الاستكبار الاستعماري العالمي وعدوانيته”، معتبراً أن “معاناة اللبنانيين والسوريين هي من صنع الاستعمار الجديد”.
وشدّد على أن “كل من يعادي سوريا يعادي لبنان”، مشيراً إلى أنه “ما من وطني يقبل القطيعة بين لبنان وسوريا، لأنها تشكّل طعناً للبنان في الصميم، وتآمراً على سوريا”.
من جهته، قال شيخ عقل طائفة المسلمين الموحِّدين الدروز في لبنان، الشيخ نصر الدين الغريب، إن الوفد “جاء إلى سوريا لتهنئتها، قيادةً وشعباً، بما تحقّقه من انتصارات على الإرهاب على الرغم من الدعم الكبير المقدَّم إلى الجماعات الإرهابية”.
وأشار إلى أن “دمشق لم تخضع يوماً للإرهاب ولا للاحتلال”، موضحاً أن “طائفة المسلمين الموحِّدين ستبقى وفية لسوريا وشعبها”.
من ناحيته، شدّد رئيس حزب التوحيد العربي، وئام وهاب، على أهمية دور سوريا ومكانتها في المنطقة، مضيفاً أن العرب “لن يجدوا مكاناً لهم بين القوى الإقليمية إلاّ من خلال العودة إلى سوريا”.
وأعرب أعضاء الوفد عن شكرهم سوريا “بسبب وقوفها إلى جانب لبنان في أحلك الظروف”، مشيرين إلى أن “العلاقة بسوريا هي علاقة وجودية تاريخية وجغرافية، ولن يتمكن البعض، من أصحاب الرهانات الخارجية الخاسرة، على أن يشوّهوا تاريخها”.
وعقد وفد وزاري لبناني، أمس السبت، لقاءً مع وزير الخارجية السوري، فيصل المقداد، في العاصمة السورية دمشق، بحيث رحبّت الأخيرة بالطلب اللبناني بشأن استجرار الطاقة عبر أراضيها، وفق ما أعلن الأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى اللبناني السوري نصري خوري.
ووصل الوفد الوزاري اللبناني، صباح السبت، إلى منطقة جديدة يابوس الحدودية في سوريا، في إطار تمهيد الطريق لتخفيف أزمة الكهرباء في لبنان، عن طريق استجرار الطاقة الكهربائية من الأردن عبر سوريا.
وأعلن السفير السوري في لبنان، علي عبد الكريم، علي في لقاء عبر شاشة الميادين، أن محادثات الوفد اللبناني في سوريا تركَّزت على الأمور المتعلقة بالنفط والطاقة، مؤكداً أن بلاده رحَّبت بحصول لبنان عبر أراضيها على الغاز المصري، وعلى الكهرباء من الأردن.
