Ukrainian businessman recruits terrorists.

Who is the Ukrainian businessman of Syrian origin who formed a mercenary battalion to fight in Ukraine against Russia?

A video was published on February 26 of “Ṭāriq al-Ğāsim” (طارق الجاسم), a Ukrainian businessman of Syrian origin who had formed a battalion to fight against Russia in Ukraine.

It is important to know that the terrorists in northern Syria opened a recruitment center at the so-called “Federal Court” in the city of ‘Afrīn for those who want to fight in Ukraine, days before the Russian military operation.

About 200 fighters from Northern Syria’s mercenaries were recruited as a first batch, funded by “Ṭāriq al-Ğāsim” who is in Ukraine.

The mercenaries will be transported by sea, under Turkish auspices, to Odessa in the west, due to Russian control in the east.

Local sources have also reported that Turkey had already begun transporting dozens of Albanian Turkistan Party fighters to fight in Ukraine.

Ṭāriq al-Ğāsim, the son of Aḥmad al-Ğāsim (أحمد الجاسم), is the younger brother of the security official in Hay’at Taḥrīr aš-Šām (HTS – formerly al-Qā‘ida) Sa‘ad al-Ğāsim (سعد الجاسم) and he is also the cousin of the commander in HTS, Muḥammar al-‘Abd (محمد العبد).

Aḥmad Sa‘ad ad-Dīn al-Ğāsim (أحمد سعد الدين الجاسم) is the responsible for the booby-trapping system at “Guardians of Religion Organization”. He has been arrested previously by the HTS at the direct orders of al-Ğūlānī, Supreme Commander of the organization. He is also suspected to be one of Ṭāriq al-Ğāsim’s relatives.

Ṭāriq al-Ğāsim was born in Maṭrūda hill, in “Minzāz” town (liberated by Syrian Arab Army in February 2020), located in the far southwest of Aleppo countryside next to Idlib province.
He had traveled to Russia a long time ago, nominally converted to Christianity and worked in drug trading with the Ukrainian mafia.
