Former director of the Saudi Intelligence Prince Turkī al-Fayṣal during his speech on the “Manama Dialogue” conference in Bahrain attacks “Israel” and says that: “the Israelis continued to build on occupied lands. While they are doing this they built a racist separation wall to prevent the inhabitants of this land to return”.
Former director of the Saudi Intelligence Prince Turkī al-Fayṣal during his speech on the “Manama Dialogue” conference in Bahrain attacked “Israel” today, on Sunday. Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi during a taped message via videoconference responded.
The former director of the Saudi intelligence said: “The Israeli government poses itself as peace-loving and a protector of the Semitic values. They claimed that they are the protectors of human rights. They spread that they are the only democracy in the Middle East and presented themself as a small country suffering an existential threat surrounded by killers thirsty of blood wishing to annihilate them”.
Al-Fayṣal added: “They (the Israelis) declared war on Ḥamās considering it a terrorist organization. They said that they wish to be friends of Saudi Arabia… All Israeli governments are considered as just another force of the Western colonizing world”.
He continued that the Israelis kept building on occupied lands and “while they are doing this they build a racist separating wall to prevent the inhabitants of this land from returning to their stolen possessions. And about this, the International Court of Justice said that this is illegal… and they apprehended thousands and put them into camps… without just trials, and destroyed their homes… what sort of democracy is this?”
Prince al-Fayṣal – who said: “Here I express my personal opinion” – mentioned that: “Israel has 200 nuclear weapons calling it “the Shield of Armageddon”, while they wage war on Ḥamās and prevent the Qatari support (for the movement) saying that they are terrorists”.
He pointed out that all Israeli governments refused the Arab Peace Initiative since 2002, stressing the confirmation by the Saudi monarch King Salmān ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz and Crown Prince Muḥammad ibn Salmān the necessity to set up a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital and to solve the problem of the refugees to make the realization of the peace possible.
The former director of the Saudi intelligence also criticized the recent peace deals of Bahrain and the Emirates with “Israel” known as the Abraham Accords and said: “One cannot remedy an open would with the use of painkillers”.
He said: “If (these agreements) were based on geography then there will be no Abraham Accords without including the land of Abraham, the Holy Mecca”. Thus stressing that the Arab Peace Initiative has to be taken seriously, according to his words.
On the other hand, the Israeli Foreign Minister expressed his “regret” for what Prince Turkī al-Fayṣal said.
Gabi Ashkenazi confirmed that “the Abraham Accords are not made upon Palestine’s expense”, rather “they are a chance which should not be wasted”.
Ashkenazi called on the Palestinians to: “change their views as entering into direct dialogue with us without preconditions”, pointing out that this is the only way to solve the conflict.
Interestingly, on his Twitter account Ashkenazi described whom he called “the Saudi representative in the Manama conference” as “lying accusations” and that “they don’t reflect the spirit of the change on which the region is going through”.
He confirmed his refusal to the statements of the former Saudi official and viewed: “the age of blames is over”.
This all comes at a time when the “Jerusalem Post” newspaper mentions that Saudi Foreign Minister Fayṣal ibn Farḥān said that his country is still opened for the full normalization of relations with “Israel” and for joint the Abraham Accords. He informed the “Manama Dialogue”, which was held at the International Institution for Strategic Studies in Bahrain yesterday, that it is important for the Palestinians and the Israelis to return to the negotiating table, which will lead to the formation of a Palestinian state within “the lines, which are understood internationally that at the end will form” the Palestinian state, according to his expression.

هاجم الأمير تركي الفيصل، رئيس الاستخبارات السعودية السابق، “إسرائيل”، خلال حديثه على هامش مؤتمر “حوار المنامة” بالبحرين، اليوم الأحد، فيما رد عليه وزير الخارجية الإسرائيلي غابي أشكنازي، خلال مداخلة مُصورة عبر تقنية الفيديو كونفرانس
وقال رئيس الاستخبارات السعودية السابق إن “الحكومة الإسرائيلية تصور نفسها كمُحبة للسلام وحاملة للقيم السامية، زعموا أنهم حماة لحقوق الإنسان، وادعوا أنهم الدولة الديموقراطية الوحيدة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، صوروا أنفسهم كدولة صغيرة تعاني من تهديد وجودي محاطة بقتلة متعطشين للدماء يرغبون في القضاء عليها
وأضاف الفيصل: “أعلنوا (إسرائيل) الحرب ضد حماس باعتبارها حركة إرهابية، أعربوا عن رغبتهم في أن يكونوا أصدقاء للسعودية… جميع الحكومات الإسرائيلية تعتبر آخر قوى العالم الغربي الاستعمارية
وتابع أن الإسرائيليين واصلوا البناء على الأراضي المحتلة، و”بينما يقومون بذلك بنوا حائط فصل عنصري لمنع سكان هذه الأراضي من العودة إلى ممتلكاتهم المسروقة، في حين قالت محكمة العدل الدولية إنه غير قانوني.. كما ألقت القبض على الآلاف ووضعتهم في معسكرات… من دون محاكمة عادلة، وهدموا المنازل… أي نوع من الديموقراطية هذا؟
وذكر الأمير تركي الفيصل – الذي قال “أنا هنا أعبر عن رأيي الشخصي” – أن “إسرائيل لديها 200 سلاح نووي تسمى “ردع هرمجدون” بينما يشعلون الحرب على حماس، ويمنعون الدعم القطري (للحركة)، ويقولوا إنها إرهابية
وأشار إلى أن كل الحكومات الإسرائيلية رفضت مبادرة السلام العربية منذ 2002، لافتاً إلى تأكيد العاهل السعودي الملك عبد العزيز بن سلمان وولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان على ضرورة قيام دولة فلسطينية عاصمتها القدس الشرقية، وحل مشكلة اللاجئين، حتى يمكن تحقيق السلام
كما انتقد رئيس الاستخبارات السعودية السابق، اتفاقات السلام الأخيرة للإمارات والبحرين مع “إسرائيل”، المعروفة باسم اتفاقات أبراهام. وقال إنه “لا يمكنك علاج جرح مفتوح باستخدام مسكنات الألم
وقال: “إذا كانت (هذه الاتفاقات) قائمة على الجغرافيا، فإنه لن يكون هناك اتفاقات أبراهام بدون أن تشمل أرض إبراهيم، مكة المكرمة”، مُشدداً على أن مبادرة السلام العربية يجب أن تُؤخذ على محمل الجد، حسب قوله
في المقابل، أعرب وزير الخارجية الإسرائيلي، خلال المؤتمر، عن “أسفه” لما قاله الأمير تركي الفيصل
وأكد غابي أشكنازي أن “اتفاقات أبراهام لا تأتي على حساب الفلسطينيين”، وأنها “فرصة يجب عدم إضاعتها
ودعا أشكنازي الفلسطينيين إلى “تغيير رأيهم والدخول في مفاوضات مباشرة معنا من دون شروط مسبقة”، معتبراً أنها الطريقة الوحيدة لحل الصراع
ولاحقاً، وصف أشكنازي، عبر حسابه في “تويتر”، ما قاله “الممثل السعودي في مؤتمر المنامة” بأنها “اتهامات كاذبة”، وإنها “لا تعكس روح التغيير التي تمر بها المنطقة
وأكد رفضه لتصريحات المسؤول السعودي السابق، ورأى أنه “انتهى عصر إلقاء اللوم
يأتي ذلك في وقت ذكرت صحيفة “جيروزاليم بوست” أن وزير الخارجية السعودي الأمير فيصل بن فرحان قال إن بلاده لا تزال منفتحة على التطبيع الكامل للعلاقات مع “إسرائيل” والانضمام إلى اتفاقيات إبراهيم، وأخبر مؤتمر “حوار المنامة” الذي عقده المعهد الدولي للدراسات الاستراتيجية في البحرين أمس، أنه من المهم عودة الفلسطينيين والإسرائيليين إلى طاولة المفاوضات التي ستؤدي إلى قيام دولة فلسطينية ضمن “الخطوط التي يُفهم عالمياً أنها تشكل في النهاية” دولة فلسطينية، وفق تعبيره
