The Yemeni Armed Forces target Saudi Arabia and the Emirates in an operation its details shall be revealed in the next few hours. The Emirates says that it intercepted two missiles that were fired towards Abū Zabī.
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced today, on Monday that it carried out a military operation deep within Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, while not sharing more information about it until now.
The Yemeni Armed Forces shall issue a statement some time today to announce about the military operation in Saudi Arabia and the Emirates.
On the other hand the Emirati news agency citing the Ministry of Defense reported that it intercepted two missiles launched from Yemen towards the Emirate of Abū Zabī.
The agency added: “The attack caused no human losses at all. The remains of the ballistic missile that was intercepted and destroyed dispersed around the Emirate of Abū Zabī”.

On his own behalf the reporter of al-Mayadeen said that “a large number of ballistic missiles and drones attacked positions in Abū Zabī and the south of Saudi Arabia”. Also adding that the informations indicated that more than one missile was shot towards the Emirates.
It should also be pointed out that the Saudi press agency yesterday, on Sunday reported the fall of a ballistic missile in an industrial area in the Province of Ğīzān. It also cites the official spokesman of Saudi Coalition saying that two drones coming from the Yemeni Province of al-Ğawf were intercepted and destroyed, explaining that “there is an escalation by the al-Ḥūtīs using ballistic missiles and drones”.
It should be mentioned that on Sunday the warplanes of the Saudi-Emirati Coalition renewed their attacks against the Yemeni capital Sana’a.
On 17 January the Yemeni Forces performed two attacks against sensitive targets deep within the Emirates. The first attack against the fuel storages in the area of Muṣaffaḥ called “Āykād 3” close to the Adanouk storages”. The other attack “targeted the new installations at the Abū Zabī international airport”.
Commenting the two attacks official spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yaḥyā Sarī‘ said that “the special Operation Hurricane of Yemen was carried out in response to the escalation by the Saudi-Emirati aggression against Yemen”.
The Saudi Coalition launched its airstrikes and bombed a number of Yemeni provinces leaving behind martyrs, wounded and material losses in property and infrastructure. This escalation came at the same time the Coalition launched few days ago a new areal military operation against al-Ḥudayda in Western Yemen continuously breaching the ceasefire there.

القوات المسلحة اليمنية تستهدف السعودية والإمارات في عملية سيجري الكشف عن تفاصيلها خلال الساعات المقبلة، والإمارات تقول إنّها اعترضت صاروخين أطلقا باتجاه أبو ظبي.
أعلنت القوّات المسلحة اليمنية، اليوم الإثنين، تنفيذ عملية عسكرية في العمقين السعودي والإماراتي، من دون ذكر المزيد من التفاصيل حتى الساعة.
وستصدر القوات المسلحة اليمنية بياناً في وقت لاحق اليوم، للإعلان عن العملية العسكرية في السعودية والإمارات.
من جهتها، أفادت وكالة أنباء الإمارات، نقلاً عن وزارة الدفاع، باعتراض صاروخين أُطلقا من اليمن باتجاه إمارة أبو ظبي.
وأضافت الوكالة: “لم ينجم عن الهجوم أيّة خسائر بشرية. سقطت بقايا الصواريخ البالستية التي تم اعتراضها وتدميرها في مناطق متفرقة حول إمارة أبو ظبي”.
بدوره، قال مراسل الميادين إنّ “عدداً كبيراً من الصواريخ البالستية والمسيرات استهدف مواقع في أبو ظبي وجنوب السعودية”، مضيفاً أنّ المعلومات تشير إلى إطلاق أكثر من صواريخ باتجاه الإمارات.
يُشار إلى أنّ وكالة الأنباء السعودية أفادت، أمس الأحد، بسقوط صاروخ بالستي في المنطقة الصناعية في محافظة جيزان. كما نقل الإعلام الرسمي عن التحالف السعودي اعتراض وتدمير طائرتين مسيّرتين انطلقتا من محافظة الجوف اليمنية، موضحاً أنّ “هناك تصعيداً حوثياً باستخدام الصواريخ الباليستية والمسيّرات”.
يُذكر أنّ طائرات التحالف السعودي الإماراتي جدّدت، أمس الأحد، اعتداءاتها على العاصمة اليمنية صنعاء.
وفي 17 كانون الثاني/يناير الحالي، استهدفت القوات اليمنية في هجومين مواقع حساسة في العمق الإماراتي؛ الهجوم الأول كان على صهاريج بترولية في منطقة مصفح “آيكاد 3″، قرب خزانات أدنوك”. أما الهجوم الآخر، فقد “استهدف منطقة الإنشاءات الجديدة في مطار أبو ظبي الدولي”.
وتعليقاً على الهجومين، أوضح المتحدث باسم القوات المسلحة اليمنية، العميد يحيى سريع، أنَّ “عملية “إعصار اليمن” النوعية نُفّذت ردّاً على تصعيد العدوان السعودي الإماراتي على اليمن”.
