The American forces entered the shelters when the aẓ-Ẓarfa Base was targeted in Abū Zabī and the American embassy advises its citizens in the Emirates to exercise “a high level of security caution”.
Director of the Associated Press in the Gulf Jon Gambrell cited the American force’s areal command in the Middle East saying: “the American forces entered the shelters at the targeted attack of the base in Abū Zabī”.
A spokesman for Yemen's Houthi rebel militia later said they had launched attacks targeting both the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, without elaborating. –@AP

The aẓ-Ẓarfa Base hosts American and British forces at the same time and there are drones and F-35 type warplanes centered in this base.
In the same context the American embassy and consulate advised the American subjects in the Emirates to exercise “an upkeep of high level security caution”.
This statement was issued today, on Monday after the Yemeni Armed Forces announced the execution of a military operation deep within Saudi Arabia and the Emirates in a response to the recent escalation by the Saudi Coalition and the martyrdom of dozens in the last few days upon the areal strikes against civilian and residential areas.
Issuing such American statements is a rare thing, as it was largely viewed that the Emirates is the most safe area in the Middle East.
The American embassy issued a similar security warning last week, when the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted the Emirati capital Abū Zabī.
On Saturday the American army said that its forces at the aẓ-Ẓarfa Air Base in Abū Zabī had to withdraw to the shelters.
It added that the forces were put into a level of high alert for some half an hour during the attack, which was launched by the Yemeni Army and the Popular Committees against the Emirates within the Yemeni Hurricane military operation.

القوات الأميركية تدخل الملاجئ عند استهداف قاعدة الظفرة في أبو ظبي، والسفارة الأميركية توجّه نصيحة لرعاياها في الإمارات بالحفاظ على “مستوى عالٍ من الوعي الأمني
نقل مدير وكالة “أسوشييتد برس” في الخليج، جون غامبرل، عن قيادة القوات الجوية الأميركية في الشرق الأوسط، أنّ “القوات الأميركية دخلت الملاجئ عند استهداف القاعدة في أبو ظبي
وتستضيف الظفرة القوات الأميركية والبريطانية على حد سواء، وفيها طائرات مسلّحة بدون طيار ومقاتلات من طراز “F-35” متمركزة في القواعد هناك.
وفي السياق، وجّهت السفارة والقنصلية الأميركيتين نصيحة للرعايا الأميركيين في الإمارات تتمثل في “الحفاظ على مستوى عالٍ من الوعي الأمني”.
وصدر هذا البيان، اليوم الإثنين، بعد إعلان القوّات المسلحة اليمنية تنفيذ عملية عسكرية في العمقين السعودي والإماراتي في ردٍ على تصعيد التحالف السعودي الأخير واستشهاد العشرات في الأيام الأخيرة الماضية إثر غارته على المناطق المدنية والسكنية.
وصدور مثل هذه البيانات الأميركية أمر نادر، حيث كان يُنظر إلى الإمارات إلى حد كبير على أنّها واحدة من أكثر المناطق أمناً في الشرق الأوسط.
وكانت السفارة الأميركية قد أصدرت تحذيراً أمنياً مماثلاً، الأسبوع الماضي، عندما استهدفت القوات المسلحة اليمنية العاصمة الإماراتية أبو ظبي.
وقال الجيش الأميركي، اليوم السبت، أنّ قواته الموجودة في قاعدة الظفرة الجوية في أبو ظبي اضطرّت إلى الاحتماء في الملاجئ.
وأضاف أنّ القوات وضعت في حالة تأهّب قصوى لنحو نصف ساعة خلال الهجوم الذي شنّه الجيش اليمنيّ واللجان الشعبية على الإمارات ضمن عملية إعصار اليمن العسكرية.
