A Syrian military source confirmed that the army started re-combing the mountain range east of Palmyra performing a number of targeted attacks upon the hideouts of the “Dā‘iš” terrorist organization.

The “al-Waṭan” reported on a military source saying: “the army yesterday eliminated approximately 14 Dā‘iš members during a combing operation in the desert region of Ḥamā and Ḥimṣ and thus the number of those Dā‘iš members who were eliminated since last Saturday reaches to 80 terrorists”.
It also pointed out that the Syrian and Russian warplanes struck the positions of the “Dā‘iš” terrorist organization, including caves and caverns in the desert region of Ḥamā and Ḥimṣ and along the line of the desert of ar-Raqqa causing precision hits.
In its own behalf, the Nawrit agency of the “Opposition” said that Russian warplanes were hitting the positions of Dā‘iš yesterday with more than 60 airstrikes upon the positions of “Dā‘iš” terrorist organization in the desert region of Ḥamā and Ḥimṣ and the area of the al-Bišrī Mountain, while at the same time the army forces continued their search operations for the hideouts of the armed men of organization in the area.
The agency added that the units of the army with the support of Russian helicopters and reconnaissance planes are ready to conduct combing operations in the mountain range east of Palmyra in the middle of the desert.
It should be mentioned that the Syrian desert is the only open front that is still active in Syria, as it witnesses continued combing operations and actions against the remained of the organization’s units.

أكد مصدر عسكري سوري أن الجيش بدأ بالاستعداد لتمشيط جبال تدمر الشرقية، منفذاً استهدافات متعددة لمواقع تنظيم “داعش” الارهابي
ونقلت صحيفة “الوطن” عن المصدر العسكري قوله: “إن الجيش قضى، أمس، على نحو 14 داعشياً خلال تمشيطه باديتي حماة وحمص، ليصل عدد الدواعش الذين قضوا بنيرانه منذ يوم السبت الماضي إلى 80 إرهابياً
ولفت، إلى أن الطيران الحربي السوري والروسي، أغار على مواقع لتنظيم “داعش” ومنها مغارات وكهوف، في باديتي حماة وحمص، وبمحاور في بادية الرقة محققاً فيها إصابات دقيقة
وبدورها أفادت وكالة نورث “المعارض” بأن المقاتلات الحربية الروسية استهدفت أمس بأكثر من 60 ضربة جوية مواقع تنظيم “داعش” في باديتي حماة وحمص ومنطقة جبل البشري، بالتزامن مع مواصلة قوات الجيش عمليات البحث عن مخابئ مسلحي التنظيم في المنطقة
وأضافت الوكالة أن وحدات من الجيش بدعم من الطيران الروسي المروحي والاستطلاع، باستعدادات لحملة تمشيط في سلسلة جبال تدمر الشرقية وسط البادية
يشار إلى أن البادية السورية واحدة من الجبهات التي لا تزال مضطربة في سوريا، حيث تشهد باستمرار عمليات تمشيط وملاحقة لبقايا فلول لتنظيم.
